Okay; I confess. I've been to Ollie's a few times. They put an ad flyer in the local paper occasionally and sometimes they score some "good stuff cheap", like their motto says. Then it sells out and you might never see it there again. But once in a while I get some real good deals.

We had an Ollie's rug. Got it home and wife said it was coming apart. Took it back and the didn't want to refund our money, wanted to swap it for another Persian rug.

I have a whols shelf of gun books that i bought at ollies ten years ago. Rifle, pistol,rimfire takedown manuals that cover most any modern gun. Best money i spent on books. Most of them were 25-30.00 and i payed 4.00 each. They sometimes have good brand name stuff dirt cheap. Check the dates on food. Cheap carpet for hunting blinds, rubber porch mats its the my go to place. They just a few months ago opened a new one near me.

All joking aside, my wife picked up a pair of weird-sized (either really big boys' or really small mens') Walls Blizzard Pruf camo coveralls a few years ago at Ollie's that she wears the crap out of during deer season. The sleeves and britches laigs are too long but she rolls em up and doesn't give a damn. Didn't pay hardly anything for em. Every once in a while you can find good stuff.

Mr Slumlord, my wife says the rugs at Ollie's are cheaper than having one cleaned. Tells me there is a huge pile of rugs to choose from and most are good quality. I couldn't see any defect in the two she brought home for a closed in garage we use as a rec room/mud room.
The front of that store and the customers in your pic could have been taken at the store she shops.

Few years ago I picked up a couple trail cams at Ollies for about 35-40 bucks each IIRC. One of them has since expired but the other one is still going. Forget what make it is but for that price if I can get a couple years of year-round use out of a cheap trail cam I won't complain. Sometimes they do get some good bargains in there but it's hit & miss.

I’m buying a 2-bedroom townhouse in Louisville for my while he attends a masters program and works towards his PhD.

The place has new white / sand colored carpet. Our idea is to cover the busy areas with Oriental rugs, throw rugs, bonded remnants, whatever.

I’ve already been picking up market place furniture. The plan is after 4 years, he moves out…all furniture, rugs etc go straight into a dumpster
