Some of the finest dramatic photographs of clouds were shot with black and white film with red filters. You can use freeware digital photo editing programs to get the same effect.

Incredible how some of the wonderful art in this world is free if you just pay attention.

Tikkanut, I am relieved to see that you actually have green stuff out your way given the recent heat wave and all the dusty pics that you put up on your wheeler rides. I wasted an hour and twenty two minutes yesterday watching a TCM 1966 movie called "The Shooting" that was filmed in Kanab, Utah and I was actually kind of feeling sorry for you Utah guys.

Our newly rebuilt reservoir (3 yrs) ending up at 94% capacity...more snow pack than estimated

That photo is beautiful but I think it got enhanced a little with the computer. Combination of nature and art.

The scene probably set up and happened so fast she could not adjust. The correct move would have been further to the left to get both the poles and power lines out of the picture.

It is like this one - I turned around and this fast moving storm was going through on the mountains on the other side of the pass -- there was a light column coming down in the centre that stopped about 1 sec before I took the picture. Unforrtunately at times nature moves fast and does not give do over opportunities.
