Does anyone have experience with the X2 Power batteries sold by BatteriesPlus? They have a good price but I know nothing about either the company or their batteries.

What AH and what's the price?

Prices have come well down since I bought a lithium rv battery. It's been a good investment.

I was also looking at a Vmax, similar specs, for $700 but it only has a 1 year full warranty, then pro rated, and there's no dealer anywhere near here. VMAX

I have one of the LiFePO4 100ah that I paid 700 for 3 years ago, now they are about 400, you can get a LiFePO4 200ah 'plus' for about 800, which I may do.

No experience with the X2 power or if it's worth twice the price. Mostly I run mine on my trolling motor for the boat and can't ever run it down after a couple trips, charges in less than an hour or solar easily.

In the TT it runs the lights and pumps, 12v TV, some light inverter stuff, solar keeps it charged easily.

I have had no issues with them
Last Summer I paid $800 each for the 200 amp Batteries and the prices were dropping Back then.
Amazon has them for $799 right now

Only drawback to LiFePo is when you spend time below freezing.

A good 100 AH LiFePO4 battery is under $400. I don't know how it would fare if you tried to crank an engine with it, but for running a trolling motor and such, it's fine. I can run my ham station for a long time on a 20 AH model.

The Li-ion battery is a a great design. The LiFePO4 is a bit better IMO. It will do about twice as many charge-discharge cycles. Also, it has a much more constant voltage as it discharges.

Long list of stipulations in that 5 year warranty.

My problem with a 200AH is the 20" long. My battery box is limited to a group 31, 13". I'd love to have a 200ah, though. I might have to see if there's a place to put it elsewhere.

Budget priced, look at Chins, or SOK, or Ampertime. For the best name brand battleborn.

Easy enough to buy a larger battery box and swap to a 200A.

I believe both SOK and Battleborn are making heated Lithium batteries recently, so might look into that if you're worried about charging in colder weather.

I don’t know if all the SOK batteries have heaters, though I believe one or more might. What they do have, is cold temperature charging cutoff, so you cannot damage the battery by charging if it is below freezing.

The big question though, is if your current (pun unintended) charging system is able to fully charge an LiFePO4 “12V” nominal battery.

I’m currently using two 100w panels and a charge controller to charge my LiFePO4 battery, and even though they are 12V nominal, zero load voltage is actually 20V.

My murdercycle is using a lithium battery though, on the stock charging system, and it works a treat, so who knows….
