It doesn’t matter what the founders said about it to the left. To them the 2nd amendment and the constitution is nothing more than white supremacy.

It has evolved to this for sure. I have never had the opportunity to ask a leftist, liberal or whatever they call themselves, their opinion of the Constitution. Normally the conversation doesn't get to that point and they start insulting and name calling rather than continuing an intelligent conversation and defending their position. I think they are either ignorant of the Constitution, they think it is irrelevant or they think it is just a suggestion. The recent decision over Rowe vs. Wade was a completely constitutional decision. Activist judges have no more authority to establish rights than unelected bureaucrats have the authority to make rules and regulations having the effect of law.
That has always been the big schism since the founding. Not long after our nation was formed liberals wanted to change or simply ignore the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Democrats and now republicans want to chang the document to fit their current need and want.

They know it isn't.

They just like to vilify their opponents.

Fugg em and feed em fish heads.
High school history curriculum should include an in depth study of the Federalist and anti Federalist papers.

Absolutely and critical thinking skills.

Our Founding Documents were revolutionary and fundamentally changed the world. A whole lot more time and reverence should be spent on it.
Good post TRH.

I hadn’t listened to Reid Henrichs in a while but Reid is one of the very best IMO.

Critical thinking and Civics both need to be reintroduced to HS curriculum. They did away with both where I grew up in the '60s and '70s, when all the hippies with associate degrees in basket weaving got teaching jobs.
