I thought I was seeing white skin attached but after zooming in it was grill marks.

That looks great. I really like fresh white king. I’ve caught quite a few being that the Fraser River system produces them. I’ve caught a couple marbled kings before but I think not more than 3 that I can recall.

Last time on Kodiak, my bil caught a 45 pound king that was "ivory"!

No offense to you salmon lovers, but salmon is a bit "fishy" tasting for my liking.
Love it grilled, but I gotta get rid of that grey fat on the skin side! 😖
When I grilled salmon, I always grilled extra.
Next day was "salmon patties"!
Oh geez! I can hurt myself on those things! 🤪
Enjoyed catching the halibut. They're fun. But for a "food fish", gimme a boat load of Pacific cod!

BTW! To make a fat boy happy, open up the smoked salmon! I can make a meal on a bowl of salmon dip! 😃
