Stopped in a Sportsman's Warehouse.... $30.50 for a box of 50...

Nosler sure has gotten proud of all of their products under this covid Plandemic.

I'm a former Nosler customer....
First mistake buying bullets from sportsmans whorehouse. They are notorious for being $5-$10-$15 more than other places. If one isn’t buying 2nds from sps then look at buying from powder valley, scheels, midway etc.
Seafire what weight are you trying to buy?

Yeah, Nosler's prices have skyrocketed. We know that. Switch to Sierra or Hornady. Hornady are much more available anyway. Also, I'm with fishinhank, what weight bullets are you looking for? Varmints or deer? I have a bunch of 6mm pills if you need some.

I'm sitting on a bunch of 55's and 95's. Mostly 95's wink
Cant tell you how many times I have gone into that store , only to leave empty handed.

Been a long time since I loaded anything besides a 105gr bthp in the 243

I was asking John what bullet he needs. I have a chit ton of different brands as well as weights. wink . I also sold some at a gunshow last weekend. Recently sold a 6mm barrel, so these 6mm pills are just going to sit for a while, unless he can put some to use. I think the only noslers I have in 6mm are the old solid base though. Pre ballistic tip bullets.

I was also asking what he was looking for. I think I have way more than I'll ever be able to use in my lifetime. I have the more modern BT's.
i wouldnt spend money on those junk bullets at any price. bt suck,so do sst

Yes. Used to think a buck per loaded round was a bit expensive. Now it's near a buck for each slug, primer, and charge. Commercial Weatherby rounds seem quite reasonable now. Glad I'm not a kid starting out.
but but but but but but but but …aren’t we still mad and all pouty-face about Hornady ???

hahaha

there was a letter thingy…oh no….and and and …people were gonna get fire….uh uh awe ….wahhhhhhhhhh
“Im never buyin’ their stuff again”

🤦🏻🤦🏻🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey BSA,
I could be, might be, interested in 90gr'ers.
I have lots of 95's, but I'm still searching for a load with them. 90's shoot great tho ??
Now that Partitions and Accubonds have hit a buck each, methinks it’s a great time to try Barnes’ in my .25-06.
I laid in a lifetime supply of old 175 Interlocks (pre Covid letter, for those that GAF) for the 7x57 a while back, so I got that going for me.
Just 2 yrs ago I bought 8 boxes of those up in ID for 14.99 a box.
Yup even the local sportsman here is at 30$ p 50 now.
I still hear people fuss at the price of a box of Sciroccos, Duh It's a box of 100!

Price creep is getting more common so just sell less for the same older price, 1/2 gallon of ice cream No longer 1/2 gallon, A pound of coffee is now 12-13 Oz etc.

Not Nosler, buddy. Sportsman's Warehouse is your culprit. I've been seeing the 90gr BT at Scheels consistently for $24 (sale price?) and the 95gr for (I think) $26-27. If Scheels is making a profit at those prices, well, SW is raping your azz on theirs......

Didn't see that one. I'm definitely not on board. I like and use a chit ton of Hornady bullets.

Man, a while back I sold 5 boxes of the 90gr Sierra game changers. Could not use them at all in the 6x45. I think the solid base I have are 85gr.. I sold a lot of my heavies because they just didn't work in the magazine for the 6x45. I still have a few 100gr interlocks. Those are excellent pills, but not a super high bc pill like you may be after..
I use 80 grain TTSX

I use a bit of everything. Experimented quite a bit with the little 6x45. It is a fun cartridge. I for one do not buy many Noslers these days, because they are azz raping their customers. There are other great bullets out there.
I always liked the 95 BT, especially for slow twist 243s but nosler has went nuts with pricing. I've started looking elsewhere too

Can't get the damn boxes open anyways!
I wrote NUZler off years ago, 50 round boxes is a bunch of jive.
Never seen their bullets shoot any better than a similar Hornady.

Nuzler also exaggerates their BC and back several years ago they always had the latest greatest LR bullet just about ready to ship. Three years later a few people would finally get their hands on a box and all the big hype turned out to be half true.

Guy I knew in Meridian [Boise] his brother worked for nosler, he said they didn't treat their employees very well.
Once upon a time, Nosler blems went for about $16 per 50. Bought plenty, plus a bunch of overruns in various calibers. That well seems to have run dry. Have they eliminated the blems by improving the process, are they selling them through other channels, or ?

Thanks Hank and Lawrence.. I've got several boxes of the 90 and 95 grainers... and also the 70s and 80s...

Just until Nosler gets back in the real world, I'm not a paying customer for them...

appreciate you boys being willing to part with a few...got the brass tumbling tonight, to load up some for deer season coming up at the end of Sept.

I've got a couple of boxes of the Gamechangers , like 200 rounds or so...

after the last failure I had with them over bad load info.... If I use them, I now know to redline their velocity.

Is Jeff O. your sockpuppet?...

I can get the box opened anyhow... but I have a pocket knife if they get complicated.

Don't strain too hard that covid might come back in liquid form.

They are available thru Shooter’s Pro Shop. I used to buy the hell out of their ‘blems’ but then they got on the covid scarcity bandwagon and jacked their prices so high that you can sometimes buy factory firsts for less elsewhere. I went back to the 50gr Speer TNTs in my 222s and 223s. Just bought 3 x 1000 count boxes for $120 each. It’s pretty hard justifying $35 for a box of varmint bullets from Nosler.

Thousand round boxes of 50 TNTs, has been my go to bullet for varmints for a couple of decades...

that and 52 gr HPs and 50 and 55 SP, each in the thousand round containers...

The other brand I have a lot of when I find them on sale in volume... the V Maxes.... 40 and 53 grainers the most common one I use.
Can’t go wrong with those. I do like the Noslers, just wish they were more reasonable. I do still have a good supply of them tho. They had the 55 gr BT on sale about three years ago for around $9/100 and I bought 10k of them. Still have 7k or so. Ive used probably 2k in the 223s and the rest in 22-250 and 220 Swift loads. I shot lots of the Speer stuff 10 years ago.

I may have to give Hornady another go. I bought a case of Hornady 204 and 17 Hornet ammo right before things went stupid and they both shoot fantastic. I haven’t used their bullets much in 20 years because they just wouldn’t group as well for me back then. Future 222 and 223 will be the 50 gr TNTs tho.
