A heart study that began in 2015 was concluded this past Friday and the results are published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The single polypill is a combination of 3 generic drugs, aspirin, a statin (Atorvastatin) and a ACE Inhibitor (Ramapril).

The polypill was developed by Ferrer and is available under the name, Trinomia.

The test success was conclusive in preventing heart attacks, strokes and other associated heart diseases in the test group that took the polypill versus those in the test group that took separate medications will multiple pills over the 7 years test period.
