Nothing wrong with those. My work buys em for me. I don’t think that that’s what the OP had in mind but probably some hipsters copying the style along with a fake lumberjack beard.

Those are work boots. From the photo it appears the owner isn't afraid of physical work.

The "dress" shoes described aren't for me. Most of those guys won't bother wearing socks too. Might as well make them open toe so they can show off their painted nails.

Working: Mucks when it’s muddy or wet, Meindl hunters in the winter, hikers when it’s spring/fall, Meindl Ontario gtx shoes in the summer.

Not Working: sandals. Olukai’s, sperry, reef, bunch of others. I’m a flip flop slut.
Red Wings with white soles are ok in my book - Been wearing Red Wings of some kind for years. I didn’t know that white soles had become stylish. For a long time I was a finish carpenter and enjoyed the non-marking soles for practical reasons
Im really not a fan of the white soles even on work boots because Im afraid they would look like hell after a few weeks .

Doesn’t surprise me. A few years ago, Carhart jackets and overalls were popular with the Jigg rappers.
Posted By: Stophel Re: Those "modern male" .... - 09/04/22
I still don't know what they look like, but it sounds like something you'd wear with a white linen suit, a red and white striped bow tie, and a boater hat...

I wear the same shoes regardless church work funerals garden spray some stuff in them every morning

Casual / dress shoes that imitate work boots are gay.

I really don't care much for shoes. I wear them when I have to.

I've seen some of those yeezy

They remind me of the pork dumplings at the
chinese buffet next to the sesame green beans

Those don't look too worked in to me. Look darn, near new.

I didn't own dress shoes until I was 25. When we dressed up when I was younger, we wore our nicer soon-to-be work boot Red Wings (Pecos, I think) or nice cowboy boots.

I've owned the shoes the OP mentions and ABSOLUTELY loved them. Comfortable like tennis shoes but you can wear them with a suit.

With that said, my wife decided to sell all of our clothes a couple of years ago, and I haven't replaced the shoes. I have some ostrich belly cowboy boots I've been wearing in place of dress shoes since and like them just fine with a a suit and if needed, tie, both of which are increasingly rare for me despite owning two barely worn suits.

If I were wearing suits more like I had to when I was young in the business world, I would 100% wear the shoes mentioned by the OP.

But, don't take my advice for it in that I have NO fashion sense. I mostly wear hiking boots, cargo shorts, what-ever long-sleeve shirt is cheap at tractor supply plus a cowboy hat these days. I basically dress how I wanted to, but my mom wouldn't let me, when I was five years old. I even wear this get-up to church and business meetings these days.

I have one pair of PF flyers high tops, I've worn them maybe 5 times, I wear boots and mainly a 35 yr old pair of ostrich skin ropers that have been resold 4 times.

I wouldn't wear those. My feet don't need that kind of attention, nor do I. smile

I wouldn't look good in skinny jeans, so that's a double "no way!".
Had to look up "welts"....
Just bought a pair like the op posted about yesterday and fitted for a new suit. New position requires I stash the thorogoods under the desk most days.
I wear sneakers around the house and house shorts till I get ready for the day.
You all have seen pics of my awesome dr schols wally world clearance sneakers.👍🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😄😄😄😄

Wear work boots, blue Jean's, and a tee shirt earth tone colors anytime anyplace else.
DGAF about temp..
Dont wear shorts or sneakers or crocs out and about.

Been that way since about age 11 or 12.
Free ball mode also...

And of course the blanket statement for the I finally see a
"gotcha" I can get on that meanie Renegade50, and I'm gonna post it dangnabbit...

IDGAF...... and or YMMV

The modern male...

Cape Buffla for $100 Alex.....boisterous chortle

While you old ladies have been sitting around all morning listening to Paul Harvey reruns, whilst eating crumpets... the hardworking farmer has been barefoot walking miles in the muddy field.

They were all GTG and took grease and held.
No wormies doing the back flow
Only around 300 hrs on it.
Was surprisingly pretty damm good under carriage wise.
Seal and gaskets front to rear no leaks or damp areas.
He takes care of it.
Not a heavy hard use or abuse issue with it.

Not like working on a 113 though.

Why in the fugg would a manufacturer not use the same size drain plugs on fluid pans.
Filters in places like WTF??? In recessed area inside the frame.
Move it 1/2 to 1 inch fore or aft for better access.
Wtf???
Most fuuuked up oil filler cap on side of engine ever.
A plug with rubber o rings in it you have to wedge off.
Not even a grip ring or groove on it.
Pouring oil with a funnel into it or straight outta a qt can.
Smh...
Fugging oil dipstick right beside it a inch away and 3 inches deeper.
Make a longer dipstick and dipstick tube.
Hydro oil fill hole right on the floor??
Shift that fugga off the one side or the other

The morons that design these things obviously have no clue about ease of maintenance on em.

Lifting the hood for access to a simple dipstick, and fugging around with a moveable brush gaurd that was designed to .001 tolerance to swing.

It's a great running tractor.
I have done many things with him with it.
Road work, creek crossing work, cutting firewood, moving schit around his yard with it, rigging up schit to drag.

1st time working on it..
The designers fuuuked the pooch on that..

😄😄😄

Commercially built things aren't built for ease
of repair or maintenance.
They're built for ease of assembly on an
assembly line.
That applies to everything.
Been that way for a very long time
