One of my favorite places in the country. Getting below the rim…especially going down to the river…is like entering a different realm of reality. It changes one’s perspective.

Spent 5 nights exploring the inner canyon near Hermit Creek in '87. The hike out with a 65 lb pack was brutal. My head felt like it would explode.

Great pics.... Brought back memories of a bike trip with my Bro. Included the GC and other sights .

Kanab is a pretty crazy/ goofy town. Spent 1 nite there . Hard time gettin' breakfast.

Lotsa excons . Parolees , etc.

I am thankful I spent time in both locales when younger. Had the pleasure of doing the Grand Canyon on two different private trips in '04 and '07 with some friends. 37 total days camping along the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon! It don't get much better than that. The sleep I get in the backcountry is pure paradise!
