She is a pretty smart woman, works at Tx AM Kingsville, and working on a degree in telecommunications. On the Dean's List. Was married to a wealthy Individual "political" south of here who has a ranch just north of the Sarita BP checkpoint. Bad Divorce. I knew this guy's wife before her, a cousin of a friend of mine, she got caught transporting wetbacks from his ranch to Houston. He threw her under the bus and let her take the fall, and both said he was abusive emotionally.
He has already remarried since Vihna and Him got divorced two yrs ago.
Anyway, she ended up with this average guy who was there for her when she really needed someone.
She goes to church every Sunday, I go with her when I can. Have to let her say grace before we eat.

Out of curiosity, I looked at their menu. Kind of hilarious, actually. 'Hibachi soup' and 'hibachi noodles'. They grill their soup and noodles?

'Snake bites' are described as 'shrimp stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños served with a spicy teriyaki sauce'. lol! 'Spicy fried calamari; calamari fried and tossed with homemade spicy chili sauce'. Ummmm...

'Sushi bar salad': 'Chef's choice of fresh fish with greens and dressed with screaming sauce'. Whatever that is...

'Samurai lunch', 'Seafood Delight' or the old 'Imperial Lunch' are specials (cannot be combined with any other offers ha ha). Holy Kreisst. Hwe dup bap and bulgogi are on offer as well. Those are Korean dishes, BTW.

Calling that a Japanese sushi restaurant, the one that actually won the title of 2021 Best Japanese restaurant in Corpus Christi, no less, has me giggling. Ain't no one in that joint has any clue about, or experience with actual Japanese food, I assure you. That doesn't make it bad, just phony.

If being picky means expecting a restaurant touting themselves as being authentic X and serves up T, L and Y, then I'm definitely guilty. It's like walking into, say, a place calling itself an Italian bistrot only to find out it's actually a crummy pizza joint that only sells calzones and slices? Maybe a place that claims to be an authentic NY style Jewish deli that actually is a cheese ball sub shop specializing in maple glazed hams in their Italian subs? A Vietnamese pho joint that actually only does pancakes and waffles? That's kind of where I am on phony ethnic foods. But then again, I doubt anyone who eats there knows the difference, so there's that.

Didn't see unagi on the menu. That's a kind of snake, right?
