Looks like a nice rifle to me. Just wondering what the real experts here think?

And the seller states it’s from 1922. Is that true based on the stampings shown?

Looks pretty sharp to my eye. Shame it’s not a 35, but that’s just my opinion.

Are the .30 and .32 REM a little less common? Just asking?

Nice!

I always wanted one, but I could never justify getting one for our type of hunting. They still tug at me.

Ammo for them certainly is.

The real experts are in the rifle sub-forum. We are a bunch of cockholes up in this sub-forum.

Yeah, but we know about Vienna sausages and InfoWars.

And dies. Last RCBS set of 32 I saw went for $83 on Ebay. Brass is ~$1 per through Grafs. If the OP hasn't looked into that part he might end up with an expensive wall hanger.

Yes, the .35 Remington is the only one out of that group of Remington autoloader cartridges that lasted. You'd have to roll your own to shoot that rifle, most likely. The .30 Rem is about like a 30-30.

I had one in 30rem. maybe 40 years ago. Really clean with a peep sight. I loaded for it using RCBS 30/30 dies IIRC and the proper shell holder. I went through my dies earlier this year and still have RCBS 30/30s and no 30REM. and I have never loaded 30/30WIN so I'm pretty sure that I'm remembering correctly.

All I know is the 25, 30, and 32 rem cartridges are rare and good luck sourcing them.

If you get one get the 35Rem and in the model 81 look also for the 300 Savage. At least those were more popular commercially and they're better performers.

I still have an old one in 35Rem but I've got to many other things in the fire so I'll never use it. If I did I'd look into heavy cast bullets to run in it but I'm more invested into 30-30, 348win and 375win 45-70 that take up my time.
