Thanks, it means a lot. This year has been the best year of my life. I have accomplished more this year than the previous 40. From the beginning of my accident my outlook was there are people dealing with a lot more than loosing a couple fingers. I still have great health just missing a few digits. The first few months that wasn't easy to always keep in mind but I did it. I am back hunting and fishing, my skeet shooting is surprisingly good using my pinky as a trigger finger. And my accident opened up many new doors and friendships for me. Instead of saying why all the time a opportunity comes up I find myself saying why not. The thread we had a few weeks ago about the hardest thing we have been through made me realize how blessed I am.

I have a nack for bugling in "non-elk" animals while bugling for elk every year on my annual sojourn to the mountains. So far I have, while bugling, called in bears (griz and black), 2 mountain lions, 1 wolf and several coyotes. This year, I bugled in the two below. I wish my success were as high with elk as it is with predators and raptors (is an owl a raptor?).

I stumbled across this guy, who has seen his better days, while putting the stalk (stock for the morons) on a herd of elk two weeks ago.
