Sitting here waking up, coffee and the news.

An ad come on, one of those socket with the pins that conform
to the item you want to remove.

WONDER TOOL FIXES PROBLMS YOU DON'T HAVE.

Then,
"But it is about to be discontinued, world wide supply problems have made
the components unavailable and production may have to cease."

"Get yours now, while you still can?"

I love marketers, and how they think.

People don't know what they want.
Marketers know the average person better than they know themselves.
They tell Americans what to buy, and it works!

the whole ball of wax may just collapse as cascade failure takes control

I saw ads for those recently too. I figured they never sold many when they came out and someone acquired a long dormant supply of them and is giving it one more shot at getting rid of them.

Maybe it’s a case of “Here kid, you want a job? We just found 12 million of these turkeys in the Cincinnati warehouse. You put together a campaign that moves’em, and you’ve got a job.” Kid puts together a campaign, sells ‘em all, saves the company, marries the boss’s daughter…. We all know the story.

I think my ex-wife’s late father had one. He was one of those guys who went for every kind of gimmick tool out there. A really nice guy with little mechanical knowledge or aptitude who thought otherwise.

WHAT, "I can't have it".... "I want it".....

Just like guys here posting guns or scopes for sale, letting it brew for 24 hrs and then posting “no longer for sale, what was I thinking?” Sales 101.
