NASA says it will attempt to launch the first Artemis moon mission this week. Details HERE

This has been delayed so long that some parts of the solid rocket boosters are about to pass their "Use By" date - which has already been extended by more than a year. In my opinion, they should rename this thing the Fiasco.

NASA’s Space Launch System heavy-lift rocket will launch on its first test flight with an uncrewed Orion spacecraft. The mission, known as Artemis 1, will place the Orion spacecraft into orbit around the moon before the capsule returns to Earth for splashdown in the Pacific Ocean. Ten small CubeSat rideshare payloads will also launch on the Artemis 1 mission. Liftoff window is 1:04 - 3:04 am Eastern. Coverage on YTube and NASA TV

Heck, the figured out how to orbit the moon over 50 years ago. They expecting a different result?

So what are the current odds the thing gets off the pad tomorrow?

Dan, the difference is that a single launch of an Artemis costs about what the entire Apollo program cost.

That was always when there was a full moon. They're trying to orbit a half moon this time, so the calculations are all different because there's only half as much gravity.

Sheesh!

Sheesh!

I like your logic. It should only cost half as much to do this launch. Let's roll !!
