Wife is sitting in the lazy boy, under a blanket holding a tissue to wipe the tears of joy from her eyes as she watches this crap as we speak. I’m about to pour my third.
Well they shot a hallmark Channel Christmas movie a few months back about 6 miles from my home here in Louisiana. My wife and I watched it last night. It was the first Hallmark Movie I have ever seen and only watched it to see my wife in it. She does background acting. She was good.
Used to and will again soon. We were too young to appreciate it fully at the time being newly married living in a 1000sq/ft cabin up lake and 25 miles from that type of Christmas town. It was a PIA to run for beer in the winter and I didn’t have the money to “stock up”. Our first Christmas tree that I got a $5 permit from the USFW we cut down as a snowstorm settled in and I was navigating slippery snowy and icy logging roads that dropped hundreds of feet straight down. I threw the wrong chains in my Blazer and knew that I had fugged up big and I HAD to get my new bride out safely….. I had her walk beside the Blazer as I kept my door open ready to ditch if it started sliding. It took us 4+ hours to get out of what took us 30 minutes to drive to. We laughed about it afterwards and went home to warm each other up. She never uttered a word of complaint and I knew I had made the right choice only months earlier.
Where we live now isn’t far off. It’s still a small farm community with great people but it isn’t that really small town that I crave again.

There used to be a Christmas tree farm about 3/4 mile up the main road.
Some people died or something.
Would love to deer hunt that thing.
There was one “through the valley”. From here that had real life reindeer’s.
Don’t think they do well in 105% humidity in the dirty south.
Now the ppl make bank doing “ag tourism “
The Lazy Acres tree farm at Chunky, Ms has some reindeer (at least they did about two years ago) and I think they have had them since at least the early’90s. I think they had a bull and a couple of cows the last time we were there.

That’s the one.
I work with a young guy that is part Timing there.
Tonight is the Christmas comes to Kenai event. There’s about a 10 minute parade of flat bed semis and pickups running Honda generators and lights. Then a bonfire at the C of C, followed by fireworks.

Said no rein deer.
But the trees and “hayrides” are booming.
Member DanH on here has reindeer. They were at the “mall”. Get your picture taken with one.

Pretty soon she’ll be looking to book river cruises in Aldovia and Baldovia. I think you’re in luck because I doubt you can find either of those countries in an atlas or on Wiki.

Went uptown for the show. Clear and ~15*. Launched from one of the ball fields.
