Anyone use any of those Blue light or Red light therapy for treating arthritis in dogs?

My little buddy suffers bigly in the cold weather. Her right knee joint gets stiff and sore.

What's a good one that you have personal knowledge of. Under $250 if possible.

There are tons on Amazon and eBay but which ones are effective and worth the money?

Thanks
We have one, its a Class 3 laser. We used it on ourselves and our GSD when he was suffering. After treating the joint for about 3 minutes, it helped the dog for about an hour or two. He was much happier. Those lasers aren’t inexpensive though. Ours ran around 4-5K.

Horse liniment with DMSO.

People are always complaining about people who aren't gunwriters responding when a question is posed to the gunwriters; now we have responses from people when the question was directed to dogs. wink

Fixed smarty pants! Hope it meets with your approval.
Give the doggie glucosamine, chondroitin and msm.

Cost 7 bucks. This was developed for dogs and also works on humans No side effects. What have you got to lose?

I take this stuff my buddy said to me "But, you don't have arthritis." I said "DUUH, I wonder why?"

ps My buddy's wife has terrible arthritis, her fingers are curling up, I tried to give him a bottle of this, he pushed it away, and said "We only go to doctors we don't believe that health food store BS."

In this conversation my buddy travelled from Ignorant, to Stupid. Seven bucks and no side effects. What have you got to lose?

I do give her joint supplement but when the weather gets in the 20's nothing seems to help.

shame she just couldn't soak in warm salt water for awhile.

saw where a guy let his dog that had severe arthritis float in a lake with him and the dog would go to sleep on him.
Get your vet to prescribe Adequan, your little buddy will thank you. It's done wonders for our 16 year GSP.

Rimadyl (generic version), Dasquin supplement and a monthly injection of Adequan for my 9 year old lab.
I had an old lab/rotty cross with bad hips and lots of arthritis. Heard about giving Ester-C, a brand of Vit C to dogs and tried it on him. Kept him going better for 4+ years.

I think this is one of the articles I read about it:

More info here. Might be worth a try???

Regarding DMSO: I had a GWP that had a mildly injured front carpus. Vet warned me wear gloves as any skin contact would immediately give me a garlic taste in my mouth. I still laugh about the dog's reaction when I applied it to his ankle. He would begin smacking his lips and moving his tongue. I KNEW he had that garlic taste!

Hope your dog gets some pain relief.

Yep.

Generic Rimadyl is called “Carprofen”. It’s based on weight. They can also get Gabapentin with that. Together, they are PFM for one of our dogs.
