Is that a Luger with a stock and scope? That is cool!
What can you tell us about it Bob??
It sure is.
What a combo, pistol stock and a real long legged horse.
Do like the scope on the pistol.
Old timey "Specialty Pistol" ?
He's shootin' in town. Killin' commies circa-1921??
Increase size of picture; it's a broomhandle mauser. I wonder if it's the one he carried in the Sudan? One of the first, maybe THE first, to be successfully used in mortal combat.
C96 Mauser. Just pulled it off the interweb. I don’t know anything about the provenance of the photo. But I’m gonna guess maybe post-war German Freicorps ??? Shooting at Commies, maybe?
Just cool azz pic
That’s my great great great uncle before he went pheasant hunting with Nate Roosefelt

I was thinking same.
Did you take the picture?
I used that same weapon on Call of Duty "Plunder" fun!
Could be. If it's a Luger the scope would have to be offset so the toggle would clear.
And, I see no stirrups on the saddle.
Very interesting ...
Did you take the picture?
Yeah! When I was home on leave from my Landeswehr Battalion! 🤣
Broom handle? And does shrapnel have it.

Yes, there are stirrups on the saddle. Look close. It is sideways to camera. Hard to see
Han Solo's grandfather, with the pistol he passed on to his grandson.

You mean, "How many".
Sold mine about 10 years ago. Except mine was a Bolo model
Very good photo kwood! thanks

Or a really short kraut. Cool photo btw.
Nestucca, you made me look closer at the man. I was more interested in the pistol, and at first thought that was Churchill!
Good photo, anyway.
Hah, first thing I thought of...enlistment publicity photo...that hog jowled, blockheaded beer barrel plow boy ain't mounting that horse with them stirrups 6 inches above his hip joints. That could barely be done with a saddlehorn. Pull that hard on old Blackie's mane...he's gonna get faunchy.
I bet his first name is Alois.

Saw what you did there!🤣
I bet his first name is Roundoak.

Ouch. 😂😂👍
Worthless without a flashlight under the barrel.
I like the canteen & whatnot holdler...
Front feet look like they need a trimming…….
Cool photo and wearing spurs, hot-blooded horse(just taking a guess), euro saddle(without saddle horn)......German Rodeo!
some things up with the shooting stick
one of the first pistol braces...
some things up with the shooting stick
Not a shooting stick. It’s just being held in hand. Kinda hanging.
Front feet look like they need a trimming…….
Yeah I thought same thing looking at right forefoot. But I believeit’s all shadows if you really look
Cool pic, K_Dub. Thanks for posting.
