Agree. I liked the black album quite a bit too but just couldn’t warm up to anything after that
Black album for the win

I play for keeps, cuz I might not make it back.
Certs FTW!
Metallica W/Cliff, Metallica WO/Cliff.
I prefer a healthy dose of Cliff with my Metallica.
Garage days revisited is way Fugkin better than Garage Inc.
Newstead was a badass.

Turn your bass all the way up

"F" Metallica... They were awesome, they had their heyday, 500 million fans, sold out concert arenas, etc...

But then something happened, something changed, and it wasn't good. Lars became a prima donna, and got all butt hurt and Woke or whatever, and it slowly started to make it's way into the band. Metallica today is no longer the same band that they once were! frown

Do a deep dive on the original tunes Metallica covered on Garage Days sometime. The tunes were just ok until Metallica did em. Says a lot about what a great band they were back then.

I personally think their Metallica Black cd was their best work.

Is that a Bon Jovi lyric?
Is the fat chick from Heart still playing drums for Metallica?

I’d do Nancy Wilson way before I did Kirk Hammett.

Metallica peaked at Master of Puppets & St. Anger was their absolute lowest .... total garbage

they never had the skills & power of Testament anyway
Ride the Lightning was their best IMO but I liked everything through And Justice for All.

Wabi can suck Higbeans’ mushroom.
I'm surprised they dropped anything more than a load in their depends. I think a lot of musicians didn't plan well for retirement.

Queensryche is coming to the local little Indian casino soon. My wife almost bought me tickets but I told her I'd rather remember them in their prime.

I'm no longer looking for the meaning of life in the lyrics on the back of a rock album and no longer care if I get the t shirt first. Guess I just got old too. The and justice fir all tour back in the day was a good show but they went out of their way to prove how big of dicks they could be to the audience. Nothing like paying to have a band flip you off and tell you to go f yourselves. Queensryche opened that one and sounded way better and acted like they appreciated you being their. The Metallica die hards tried to boo them off like they did fairh no more but in the end let them play and seemed to enjoy it. Metallica was notoriously tough to open for. Their fans were die hard.

Meh. The black album was the beginning of the end.

Them boys put on a good concert, tell you that for a fact. You do not want to be close to the stage.

Old rock had some redeeming quality incidents along the way - M was never one of those. GI= GO.
Haven't been into metal for 25+ years - I must be low T these days.

That right there. Most of the riff work on Ride the Lightning sound like it’s right out of Mustaines’s head. Haven’t really been into any Metallica since And Justice for All.
They dropped it, alright. And it broke when it hit the ground. Ugh. I remember when Depends didn't sponsor rock concerts. Miss those days.
Dayton: I have shared CampFires with Hunters and fishermen from Alaska to Texas and from Alberta to Florida and most all parts in between and I have NEVER had someone sharing my CampFire declare that a weirdo acid trippin "rock" band had just released a "new single"!
Just sayin.
Hold into the wind
