Cool! I see them every once in a while near the lakes here or in Arkansas. When I was a kid, they simply did not exist here. It's amazing how they have come back.
Put the rib cage from my grandson deer out at 200 yards from the house. Four golden and three balls fed on it. Ravens-magpies and coyotes also. The coyotes committed suicide. Fun to watch. Edk
We get a few here on the lake each winter - fun to watch. They kill a duck or Canadian Goose sometimes. The Geese they have to eat on the ice or shore often with one or two other Eagles waiting 10' away to get a share. If a duck, they often fly up into the huge trees we have out front to feed. All I find is the beak and wing tips on the ground later, everything else is gone. Had a large Lake Trout wash up one winter and about an hour later 3 Eagles showed up, fighting over it 100' from the house.
This nest was on my lake Vilas Co, WI for years. In July of 2020 tree broke off in middle, nest destroyed. Eagles built new nest along east shore of lake. Beautiful birds.
I can get a couple hundred bald eagles in a frame at the landfill.... and have. I posted one such a while back titled "where eagles Dare". filthy birds, but good looking.
Growing up the only bald eagle we saw was on TV. Fast forward 40 yrs and now they have moved back in. Have several nesting pair along side of some railroad track overlooking the Bayou De View.
