I have a gas fired steam radiator from the late 40's to early 50's. This is set up for natural gas. Can it be converted to propane by replacing the jets or will I have to change out the regulator as well? Here is a picture of the business end. Thanks for your help.

A jet change may be necessary....or not. Run it on propane and check the flame color/condition.

Where is the pilot or igniter located?

I think you will need a regulator also. Propane is under much much higher pressure than Nat gas. I converted my propane generator to nat gas and the kit came with a regulator. Same principal involved only in reverse in your case.

It has a standing pilot located inside the hole on the bottom right. Bottom left is the main gas controlled by the brass valve above it.

If the propane is above the 7ish inches w/c....then yes a regulator will likley be necessary.

Probably orifice change and 2 stage regulator set up.
