Now that Warnock’s “victory” gives the Democrats a 51-49 advantage, what is Senator Manchin gunna do?

Over the past two years he has basically been the most powerful man in the Senate. Able to make or break the Democrat agenda by selling his vote to the highest bidder. Keeping all eyes on Joe, turning this WV Democrat into a house hold name all across America, as with most politicians the Spotlight feels good.

Well, those days are over, he has lost that power, so now what?

Will Joe seek to remain in the spotlight, or will Joe just fade away back under the thumb of Schumer and behave like a good little soldier?

Is Joe pissed off enough at Schumer for reneging on their energy deal to jump ship and join the Republican Party. Does Joe desire the spotlight enough to jump ship and leave the Democrat Party keeping that beloved spotlight shining?

We shall see,
After the new congress is sworn in, Schumer will be calling for a vote to rescind the Filibuster rule.

What is Joe gunna do, is he going to remain consistent and oppose this rule change, or has he learned his lesson not to mess with those that control his leash?
Prediction.

Joe will not be switching parties.

Neither will Sinema and the filibuster will be rescinded.

Joe will do what he is told, just like he has been doing.

They want to keep th at seat Dam, so they do what is necessary to
avoid pissing his constituents off too badly.

Tied up on something that would really tick WV off?

"Joe, you trot out there and oppose it. As it is now. That will play good
with the pointy ears back in the Schidthole Hollers. After it gets old,
We will pull a buck two-ninety-eight out of the spending, and you will brag
that it is now something you can support. For West Virginia."

Not much different than Susan Collins. Would be the same if it was 50-50
with an R Vice.

Everyone want to hate on her for being a Rino.
That's true(ish). But foolish.

She is the Republican Senator in a liberal leaning state.
A number to benefit Republicans.
Certain issues, where her vote doesn't matter, they let her oppose
The party. It plays good "back home". Or, they play a game exactly
like Joe and his buddies.

Politicians rarely get to take solitary stands.
The opposition party isn't going to give you something for nothing.
Your own party isn't going to give you something if you don't play nice.
Just look at Joe Bob Voting Record.

Forget about His Dawg and Pony shows .

His Voting Record..

Joe Bob will settle into his seat and vote with the Marxist to Finish Off America..

51 Votes gives them Treaty Power ..

Think NWO .. WHO ..

Those Judges ..

All those Marxist Judges from Harvard and Yale ..

It’s raining Juemonji’s

No..

Ole Joe Bob going to sit there and Vote for the Final Solution..
Yep.

He's gonna sit down and shut up like the good little poodle bitch he is and only jump through the hoops he's told.

The nail that sticks up gets hammered down. Doesn't matter how big the nail is, they just use a bigger hammer.
All Manchin and Sinema need to do is find one more democrat to join their party and the power is theirs. All these guys care about is power.

Um, no, the filibuster will remain. Ditching it just as the R's take control of the house makes no sense. It only made sense when it would have given one party full control, including the Presidency. Take a deep breath and refocus. Then find a hobby that does not involve constant posting of such drivel. Best of luck with that.
Maybe the boys in WV and Montana will wake up. They keep electing DEMOCRATS. No matter how great they sound or how bad their Republican opponent is. They are DEMOCRATS. look at what they stand for as a party.
A good conservative President can not get his agenda passed with a house and senate full of democrats. Hasbeen
Manchin and Sinema both want to keep the filibuster. Unless a Republican defects, that means the vote would be 51-49.

Treaties require 2/3 of the Senate to be ratified. That’s in the Constitution. Based on a quick peek online, the SCOTUS has stated more than once that treaties can not do things forbidden in the Constitution.

Joe, if he wants to run again, isn’t likely to do anything else to offend voters in WV. If not, then who knows?

Dude ..

Your Rationale their Not ..

You do remember Harry Reid don’t you ..

Their thinking the same way now ..

Filibuster Gone ..

Ram as much as possible down our Throats..

Judges , Spending Etc. Etc. Etc..

They think that way because The Derby Donkey named Mitch and his Merry Plunderist are Looking for Paydays not Paybacks..

These People are not on our Side ..

Maybe, but Manchin also stated many times that he would NOT vote for the Big Green Build Back Better Bill, then he did.

If he can make a deal and sell his vote, he will, AGAIN.
They don’t need him anymore..

He’s free to Be The Champion of Good ..

Hahaha Hahaha

Hey - I'm in Alaska, I ain't saying nuthin' ......
Screw Manchin and the horse he rode in on.

He'll likely be unemployed at least in politics in '24. Thinking that WV has had enough of his sh !t.
He lost his leverage
Manchin is like the retarded imbreed lovechild of Robert Byrd... and a sheep named Sally...

Nothing more... nothing less.
Manchin will do as he is told, just like always.

One could say that Manchin has been officially neutered.

Joe has one real choice if he wants to keep his job. Convert to a republican. He either needs to "nut up" or remain a steer for the rest of his career. Which will probably end at his next election if he stays democRAT.

Joe is up for re-election in 2026, he will be 80, he may just decide to pack it in or croak.

If the MAGA movement is still a thing in 2026 and the people of WV elect a MAGA (R) candidate to run against Manchin, the RNC will make sure Manchin gets “selected”. Now if the (R) running against Manchin is an Establishment Approved candidate then Manchin will have his work cut out for him.
