Lose a bet?
Was thinking about a Basil Hayden Old Fashioned, but end up with Santa Margherita pinot grigio around squash and venison burgers… still might make my way to the whiskey before it’s over

Yeah, garrisons have a history of not faring well in Texas.
Watching "A Christmas Story" (he just got the lamp), drinking my 4th La Chouffe Cherry and the GF is doing a puzzle.

Belgian beer I picked up on a lark to go with chocolate covered cherry cordials.

Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.

Local IPA, Bent Nail from Red Lodge Montana. (Don't drink nearly as much beer as I used to, which helped take off a bunch of weight in the past couple years. But the season deserves some celebration!)
Black Velvet.
Sazerac Rye.
Paulaner Pils to wash down the eats: Brisket sandwiches, boudin, boudin mac and cheese, candied bacon.

I am with the daughter and her family so stuck with what they have on hand. Sad, because I have so many great bottles to choose from back home.

After a couple of those I would require a round glass!
Nothing fancy here, but of the guys on my crew has family in from Wisconsin. He put in an order for some Spotted Cow and gave it to me yesterday when we left work.
I'm drinking whatever it takes to dull the constant drone of my MIL's voice. I've been snowed in with my wife, kids and in-laws for 2 days so far, with the threat of 2 more days together looming large. Beer is my friend.

Polished off a bottle from the same maker a few days ago.

Keep it up. Cheaper than jail in the long run.

I would start drinking mouthwash and aftershave if I were in your shoes.

You might be on to something—-noticeably less spillage

For sure. That's why I laid in a supply.

If I run out of beer, I'll be hitting the mouthwash. 😀

I am jealous. Any Weller, much less the 12 year, is scarce as hen's teeth here in Missouri.
It’s probably my favorite Wheated bourbon, but Bib and Tucker and Larceny are helping me endure the times between scoring Weller’s or Blanton’s.
Cook's Brut
Budweiser
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]
A double shot of Sambuco followed by a double shot of Canadian Club over ice.
kwg
Weller 12 for me tonight
Aged Apple Jack Shine.
I finished off a bottle of wine.
KYHillChick and I watched the Bengals beat the Pats drinking Scoresby.

We then feasted on skewers of tenderloin, bacon, shrimp, and chicken

BTW: I found a review of Scoresby that y'all might find edifying:

Scoresby Review

I don't think the reviewer did this scotch justice by comparing it to paint. Paint thinner? Yes, but not paint.
Had a wee dram of my new favorite Irish Whiskey, Connemara peated last night. (thanks for the suggestion Mathman!) Good stuff!

Virgil B.
None at all on account of I was driving, though I brung a bottle of Bailey’s Irish Cream over to my son’s place. I did sip on some Merlot when I got home, but technically it was already Christmas.

I’m sure glad quality booze like Bailey’s doesn’t fit my budget, else I’d be a full-blown alky by now fer sure 🙂
Water. Still in gall bladder attack recovery mode.
Time to make a fresh pot of hot, an' black!

Screw tops rule
Went old school with eggnog with a finger of brandy in it. Very tasty. The brandy was St. Remy, which while it's not fine sipping quality is just fine for mixed drinks.
