Mines thawing out by the wood stove didn’t crow this morning.Waddles swollen he looks ruff any advice
Call Col. Sanders. He would know how to fix him.
I have excellent blood flow, so no. Good luck.
Stick it in cider.
Ok, I’ll play.

Put him in a hot box to warm up.

Wait, a rooster didn't crow at the crack of dawn and you want to change that?

Stick him in the microwave.
Been frigid cold and shriveled up a few times but my cock has never froze. Thank God.
Heat him up in the dumpling pot.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You let your cock freeze? When I had chickens (and guinneas) I quit cleaning the coop until spring. The manure puts off quite a bit of heat. That and one light bulb kept temps well above freezing even here in Northern MN.
My chickens came through the cold, Monday night (-11 Wednesday night/Thursday morning) through Thursday without any frostbite. Thankfully the heavy cold only lasted 3 days. Today it's 49 degrees right now. I kept them locked it the coop, brought them warm water ever 3 hours and they managed to keep the coop warm enough with just their body heat. This flock is new this year so when I let them out Saturday they did know how to handle all that white stuff on the run floor. It took a few hours for them to venture out on it.

Yeah, they can easily be killed by freezing temps if they are not housed in a proper hen house at night.
He is very susceptible with the big comb and wattles.

No heat in your coop?

I suspect he may loose the tips of the comb. He is very "well hung" so he was probably more prone to it that most.
I been raising chickens 20 yrs with heat lamps in winter we have the usual blackened comb tips now and then but nothing like this it was -1 yesterday morning
Don't have a rooster just five hens, hen house has 3/4" insulation board walls about 4" straw in the floor have a crock pot on warm full of water, so far they are doing great, just not laying. Also have the ceiling covered with 1/4 bubble wrap insulation.

Go to one of your local “ warming centers” that have been set up, and ask them if you can warm your cock up. Should go over pretty well. 😜

No but I’ve got it stuck in my zipper a few times.
Reminds me of a old time story from my departed papa somebody sent him on a quest for Clorox. He went around to every store asking for cock wash and came home empty handed🤣🤣

That is BRILLIANT! I was hauling them water 3 times a day. A $3 crock pot from a garage sale would be perfect.

And then you have to build up the courage to back it off.

Roosting outside?
Man! I've had drifts build up under my chicken roost, they didn't have to fly down. Just step off the pole!
I've had a few chickens end up with a "rose" comb after a freeze, but never so cold they wouldn't crow!

I dunno! I'd say if he get that fold, he's done for!

I hate it when some dude looks at me like that.
We always trimmed the combs of our roosters so they wouldn’t get frost bit. They don’t look as majestic once their combs are trimmed but they winter better.
Not reading all the Jokey Smurf BS

but you can put Vaseline on them the night before an exceptionally cold night to help with potential frostbite

He doesn't look terrible but is damaged for sure. If he were mine I would feed him a scrambled egg a day for 2 or 3 days.
Yeah mine were in pretty bad shape so I put a couple heat lamps in the coop
