Many years ago, I was in line behind a black guy at Popeye’s in North Portland. The guy asked for ‘full wings’ when he ordered.
I love wings, but I’d never heard of ordering ‘full wings’. So, I asked him what did a ‘full wing’ mean? He said you get the entire wing, not just the wingette.

I have read a lot of theories about why blacks lack impulse control. The warm climate theory, lack of an inner monologue, inability to think in the abstract. I don't know which of those make the difference, probably all to some extent, but there is obviously a difference that cannot be overcome.
Whites in Western societies have poured tremendous resources into trying to help them. From education to flat out giving them things. In their homeland of Africa we've given them money, food, water purification, taught them farming, given them fertilizer, tractors, medicine, hospitals, schools....on and on. They don't live much differently than before all of that.
Being in the gentrification business, I am happy we give them houses....

Here is a possible explanation. Modern man did come from a common ancestor with the chiemp. Some of these early humans escaped Africa and made it to The Mid-East, Europe, and Asia where they encountered other races of man and interbred. Neanderthal and Denisovan come to mind. Meanwhile back in Africa saying goodbye was hard to do and breeding across the line went on for a while after the wanderers had left for Eurasia. Here is a possible explanation. Modern man did come from a common ancestor with the chiemp. Some of these early humans escaped Africa and made it to The Mid-East, Europe, and Asia where they encountered other races of man and interbred. Neanderthal and Denisovan come to mind. Meanwhile back in Africa saying goodbye was hard to do and breeding across the line went on for a while after the wanderers had left for Eurasia. Modern man for whatever reason dominated the other races of man found in Eurasia and they were absorbed. I very much believe in equality. Having said that, genetics are genetics. A better world could engineered with selective breeding or genetic manipulation. I know, it is a very controversial topic. Just my opinion. 1. Health and related health care costs. 2. Over population. 3. Socially inappropriate behaviors. 4. Body size. If one has 10,000 rental homes (hard to believe but it’s possible) and they’re only making $40,000 per month in income off those 10,000 rentals then there’s a problem. I would think that one could average $40,000 per month in rental income with only 10% of his current homes. In other words if he sold 9,000 rentals and invested the proceeds from those sales he could expect significantly more than $40k per month in interest…..and he’d still have 1000 homes with which he could mismanage. 😂

Culture is determined by the people who make it up. The reason Haiti is the way it is, for example, is because even though there are some among them who might like to raise themselves up, start a business providing goods and services, etc., they know they cannot, so they don't bother. They know that even if they put in the work to do so, the overriding culture (determined by the people occupying the territory) is such that they would be constantly robbed, looted, stolen from, and vandalized, so that such an endeavor wouldn't be profitable.

There are some black folks who are very well mannered, controlled and respectful - but a VERY high percentage of black folks are not! I found out about this phenomenon WAY back in the late 1960' when I was assigned to work law enforcement in a black ghetto where virtually every dweller there was prone to outrageous emotional outbursts and complete loss of self control! Once seniority allowed me out of that ghetto work environment I found out that many MORE black folks conducted themselves in a manner conducive to a polite, respectful and law abiding society than those ghetto spawn and ghetto inhabitants. I certainly can’t define any one thing as the main reason some blacks feel compelled to act out in public with a show of complete lack of maturity, class, respect for themselves, and of course others.
So many things have been asked for and provided to black communities in need of financial and educational assistance over the years.
Mentoring programs developed, Boys & Girls clubs funded, community resources up the ass made available. And of course hiring practices to help move blacks into better paying jobs. Nothing seems to control or slow the growth of distance and disgust between how we as white people see some black folk and vice-a-versa.
I wonder if it’s even possible to arrive at factual truths, call it ownership on both sides of the race card and just admit the failures, then make some radical changes. Knowing that these changes are absolutely going to spark fits of rage, probably on both sides.
Holding people accountable is likely a start. Me being white, I have found myself wondering why good, black citizens, who get mislabeled by the behavior of others haven’t collectively come together and in essence, culled or policed their own in ways that leave no question to observers in their communities that this behavior will not be tolerated. Thinking Black Panther type of education on their own people. I’m laughing, almost at this thought.
But then the same could be said for us, as white folk...Why haven’t we culled or policed the POS whites who bring harm, shame, and disrespect to those who are trying to live together without too much drama?
Maybe the answer to the latter of my questions to cull POS whites is even more difficult. Wouldn’t we need to not only work the inner cities, and rural towns to clean up our white system abuser? Wouldn’t we need to reach into the halls of corporate America, .gov and the financial elites who are possibly the true architects of creating this vast and growing division between people?
Maybe it’s all by their design to prevent all people from coming together under one banner and collectively returning the power back to the American people.

Blacks regardless of country, or culture have never built anything today or at any time in recorded world history. Sure there are some really smart outliers. As a whole it’s been shown over and over that blacks in Africa have IQ’s around 70 just above mentally challenged… they also have less impulse control. Look to crime rates, achievements, prison rates, poverty, anywhere in the world and it’s the same thing. It just might be a genetics thing.

They were actually pretty conservative, very strict parents, focused entirely on education and making something out of their lives without getting handouts. A lot like 1950s whites, I guess.

My experience says it's not also a cultural issue, it's primarily a cultural issue. Again, that sentence starts with "My experience"
Nearly every person of another race that I've met, worked with, went to HS or University with, was able to act in appropriate manner for the circumstance............IF........and I know that's a big IF, they were raised by responsible parents in a good environment.
My folks would never let me act out in public, same for all my siblings. There was always the threat, and sometimes action, of the "If I have to take you outside" of "If I have to take you to the back of the store" . Back then at least, that was acceptable by society and a seemingly effective way of instilling proper reactions to situations.
There's a reason for the term "trailer trash", and it's not just because folks live in mobile housing. Plenty of good folks were raised in trailers, by good folks. However, inexpensive housing is attractive to the type of folks that don't have proper social skills and are therefor not good candidates for good jobs, better housing, and perhaps even for teaching kids.
There's nothing wrong with being "poor" either. Perhaps we didn't qualify for that category , but we were certainly on the lower edge of "middle class" and if the old man had gotten seriously injured or died, no doubt we'd have been down in the poverty level. But, we were taught manners, and to work hard, ride used and repaired bicycles (cars later in life) and to eat inexpensive food if that's what we could afford. That was the culture we were brought up in. And that's the culture the majority of those "non-white" folks I ran across in life.
Was it different in Logan Heights and National City down in SoCal. Yeah, it sure was for many. But even the folks I met from there were primarily decent working class folks.
That culture, that seems to reward outbursts of emotion, needs to change. Unfortunately, there are too few folks attempting to change it. Most that would perhaps like to.......... move away from it, and I can't blame them. Like my neighbor. I've talked to folks around here who knew his dad when he was alive. According to them, he was the type of guy to raise his kid right, so it's no wonder my neighbor ain't livin' the thug life.

Cool! Then by your account the poor, black communities that produce these social media Rock-Stars of self control have another 75 years to get a jobs and turn it around? The last 25 years there has been a metric ton of financial, educational, and employment help made available - if you would fill out forms and apply. Maybe the lack of effort in black communities will improve over time. Question is, will there still be all the resources that have been offered to them in the future?
Slums?...Some of our ancestors came into the US, lived in Hell’s Kitchen or Shanty towns on either Coast and made lives. They were poor AF, didn’t speak the language, and not trade trained for most jobs. But they could dig a hole, use a pick, shovel debris, and eventually got opportunities to do trade specific work. 1800’s type work, but you go ahead and apply that historical logic to today’s problems, as if there’s any real comparison.

Just pointing out that is not what appears to be wanted in their community. who is willing to invest in their communities when they have to constantly deal with theft , vandalism , and harassment ? Insurance rates for businesses in those communities are likely cost prohibitive. My past life experience is only antidotal by once being married to a nurse who was a white girl with three mixed kids, living in North Portland (The Hood) for almost a decade raising her kids, together.
Yep, I never had black kids in my house sleeping over, never had dinner with black people. Never had good BBQ with black people. Never had to listen to our kids or black friends talk about the frustrations of being singled out by Asian store owners because they thought all blacks kids do is steal. Damn, and all those conversations I had about them being hassled by the cops was interesting.

I’ve forgotten how many got arrested, jailed, with a few onto the prison system for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and one for murder. Weird, we had a soon to become murderer sleeping under our roof for several days. He was a good kid, but he decided he needed to ‘do some dirt’ and landed himself in prison. He was always respectful to us when he was around.

My neighborhood (at least the parts east of my home) has gone from zero percent Spanish speaking Mestizo (when I moved in twenty years ago), to about a quarter Spanish speaking Mestizo. They seem friendly enough, but it's also hard not to notice that some of them are in the drug supply business, based on patterns of behavior/activity. Develop training classes on work ethics, and begin building a foundation on a moral ethos that has been lost within these poorer communities.
Applying the ‘carrot or the stick’ with 100% buy in from community leaders, by policing their own with strong, firm guidelines that needs to followed. Couple this with police involvement to knock down all criminal resentment towards this radical change.
Provide a ‘carrot’ of a good education/trade skill that offers a good living standard of pay with health benefits.

I think some of you need to read more history books.
Do you think any one of you would have done well walking around Hell's Kitchen in the 19th century? How about the Irish slums of Chicago in the same timeframe? Do you think that area was mostly occupied by black Americans? Or were they mostly white? Do you think the occupants of that section in New York and Chicago were inexplicably violent? Do you think they lacked emotional maturity? Do you think there were a lot of good paying jobs in that part of New York and Chicago?
Put another way, if I were to place one of your Portland, Missouri, or Iowa dwelling asses into an all white prison system, do you think you would fare very well? Do you think the white's in those prisons would be inexplicably violent? Have little to no impulse control? Or do you think they'd all be happy to embrace Lil James the Schit Kicker because they're all white?
The reason slums create vast numbers of violent and impulsive individuals is because slums create a "kill or be killed" culture as opposed to a "live and let live" culture. Slums are prisons. Slums are slavery. If you put generation upon generation into slums, they will invariably come out as a violent and impulsive end product. And the fix will require generations of opportunity (for those that survive the transition) to rise out of the enslaved culture that a slum produces.
The big difference in today's culture is that there is no real motivation to move out of these kill or be killed environments due to government hand outs and the leftists agenda of not only keeping slum dwellers in the slums, but expanding their numbers. That is why nobody moves out and up, or if they do it's extremely rare. For some in the black, poorer communities, will unfortunately see other blacks who are trying to advance themselves out of poverty by themselves, or with available help from ‘programs’ - Programs being a package of aide available to people of color with low income levels, as ‘selling out’ to the white man.
Black folk that have made it out through, luck, education, financial assistance - coupled with their own business savvy using loans to build a thriving businesses, are seen as an ‘Uncle Tom’ If they leave the ‘Hood’.
Especially when they try to give back to their communities by showing their efforts of - this is what I did, the work I put in, the programs I took advantage of and how I made myself successful.
While embraced by some in the community and these patterns of success are followed like a blueprint. Many will be mocked for their personal effort, and again labeled as a ‘Sell Out’.
Examples of individuals that become successful that aren’t mocked in the ‘Hood’, are professional athletes and Rapper’s. These professions are embraced and emulated everywhere in ‘Hoods’ across the US...Why? because it’s seen as a fast track way out of poverty and into big money, fame, and a lifestyle that resonates back at them the familiarity of the street, thug life, with status and credibility.
These two professions have street legitimacy from a belief that it was achieved without compromise by not going the longer way into having a financially secure life through education and hard, personal work. That’s the white man’s way to succeed - not what a ‘Hood’ kid wants to aspire to.
And here we are, always back to ground zero with cultural advantages and differences being seen as either a roadblock or an open door to whatever someone wants to call living a good life.
It’s crazy to a lot of us, when we can see the negative effects of no education, no social mentoring at a young age and lack of foundations to help people make safer decisions, even when some do become successful.
Rapper’s getting shot, doing stupid shît that lands them in prison. Financially broke and owing others money, child support to different women, fights, assaults, domestic violence on a spouse...The list goes on...
Yes, white people do all these same things. But to a lesser degree? Idk. I haven’t looked up any statical information. We could be just as bad, maybe even worse, since our white population numbers are far greater than black people.
