Ours is very simple, just SSI, a pension, and some investments, standard deduction. I got all my 1099's so I knocked it out with Turbotax's free online software.
The IRS accepted mine on the 17th. Turbo tax makes it easy.
I have the documents but we haven’t done them yet. We do TurboTax too. Just W2’s, and standard deductions.
I used turbotax for several years, but when I moved, the free version didn't have all the forms I needed. Was gonna cost me around $100 to get the forms. Also, about the same time, I got involved in a situation where I felt it would be best if an accountant did my taxes. Cost more, but when you're dealing with lawyers, being safe, not sorry, is a good feeling. Things have settled down this year, so I may go back to turbotax.
TT isn't for everyone. If you've made some big changes, you're probably smart to have them done by an accountant to at least find out what needs to be done.
The IRS and US tax code are sad examples of job protection. There's no reason that taxes should be so complicated that you have to hire a specialist to figure it out.
We haven’t received our W-2’s yet
I'll send mine in on the 14th of April.
Just filed 21s, waiting on 1099s for 22
Personal, 2 corporate (S & C), 5 LLC’s this year.
Can’t Fugkin wait til this scheit is over and I can use TT at years end. Going to be sooner than it has been.
Schwab is dragging their feet:(
My accountant always files for an extension.
