SpaceX is targeting Sunday, February 5 at 5:32 p.m. ET for Falcon 9’s launch of the Hispasat Amazonas Nexus mission to orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. A backup launch opportunity is available on Monday, February 6 at the same time. Amazonas Nexus will provide broadband connectivity to airplanes, ships, and other mobile users across the Americas, Greenland, and travel corridors across the Atlantic Ocean.

The first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched SES-22, ispace’s HAKUTO-R Mission 1, and three Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff HERE

Fire in the hole, wonder how many BTU’s they will burn up. The Commie Dumbocrats will want to use an electric rocket

Booster recovery ought to be interesting. Fairly fresh wind forecast today will make the barge rock and roll a bit.

Hanco, I'm no expert, but imagine that electric rockets won't be around for a looooooong time. grin

Good!

The more Starlink Sats they get up there, the sooner I get off the waiting list. smile

Not a Starlink launch. This one is a Spanish commsat.

Due to poor weather, now targeting 9:32 pm Eastern. With only a 30% chance of favorable weather, this one is liable to slip to tomorrow.

Yup. It slipped to 5:32 pm Eastern time today. Weather is much improved.
Posted By: RockyRaab Re: Sunset Launch Today - 02/06/23
Now looking at 8:32 pm Eastern. No reason for the change given but rocket, payload, and weather all look good.

Another good one. Hard to believe they've landed boosters 170 times now.
