Anthony Matarese reached around me and grabbed two shells out of my shell pouch one time. It was awkward yet special at the same time. Shendale Gun Club
Shot a 79 at the Homestead a few months ago after 18 hours of drinking and debauchery the day before Ending with steaks at Sam Snead’s and B’fast at the crystal ballroom. Good times! Best course I’ve ever shot and best hosts. If you ever have the chance, a weekend at the Homestead is an experience worth having.
Honest... Seriously... I have tried skeet shooting a few times.
I SUCK.
There has to be a mathematical concept involving calculations or some type of unknown force involving kinetic energy vs the speed and angle of the clay target. All I know is that I totally, completely, SUCK at trying to shoot skeet with my Remington 870 12ga.

That is completely understandable...
I reckon you also suck at many other things equally.
Nobody gives a fugk. Shooting is a hobby, Life is about family.
Yet you spend all your time away from that family posting on a hunting/shooting site dreaming of Rick and me?
Why not spend the same effort on a family site?
It's so important to you but yet here you are?
I have a successful family and business yet still find time to break you an Camuglia’s peanut sized testicles without breaking a sweat. Post up some more antler shot vids when Jeff gives you a lunch break.

Yet here you are whining about those that do better in hunting and shooting.
Go to Family Circle Dot Com if you want to brag on your family life.
This forum is about shooting and hunting which you know nothing about.
So post up your best pictures because right now your just a whiny POS blaming his family for his lack of sucess in the field.
Low gun skeet all summer long is the best way to a good bird season. Perfecting your high speed gun mount is the recipe for great success on live birds..mb

You do realize that most hunting involves hiking right? You may have done some in the past, but the pics say that those days are long gone. Lol
As usual the original question has mortified into something totally unrelated to :ever shoot skeet ?" Grew up in a Dutch community where the word "skeet" was Dutch for "chit" Getting back to the original question, Yes I've shot Skeet, hated it, turned to Trap and have had great success for the past 22 years. We refer to Skeet Shooter as girls, if you shoot Skeet you need to show up wearing a pink To-to, lipstick and ear rings. But a really good Skeet shooter has to be admired, they are good at hitting two very fast crossing birds, even when they shoot 28 & 410's.
Hilarious how such a simple thread question turned into a Chit show lol.
I shot so much skeet that in the end my best score was 24/25, shooting from the Hip! Meaning the stock was at my hip without aiming. Did a calculation and from the age of 12 to 16, I shot around 45,000 rounds on Skeet and Trap.

We also did Live Pigeon shoots at one of our clubs. We would get 200 pigeons and 8 shooters would form a circle and we would take turns releasing the pigeons with one guy releasing them from the middle of the circle. We did the same with Pheasant.
Let's see if we can squeeze a bit more out of Rick's post, just for funnzies.
Not really. Those are the easiest shots in Trap, all straight-aways.
Next he'll brag about throwing corncobs in the air and shooting them.
John will brag and Rick will applaud his stupidity. Need some more antler shot footage so Johnny can tell us how his POI was same as POA and he meant to shoot an elk with his famous high left glancing non fatal neck shot. [bleep] looked like Swiss cheese when he was done shooting it up.
I am the forever and always skeet champion of US Army-Japan. The forever and always part is because the last skeet club in the command was closed a few months after I left. "Woke" military commanders have closed most of them down overseas at least.
You are seriously going to call that a safe backstop? 0.56 clearly the target is on the horizon and the shooter is shooting up.
Yes and you're wrong.
Now add in the fact the bullet impacted the moving clay
That's not fancy shooting, it's reckless.
Two requests: 1. Stop posting gifs, I've seen pics, you're not 18 and are becoming increasingly adept at proving you can't have a grown up disagreement. 2. Please post zip codes of any future "fancy shooting" so some of us can avoid getting shot.
There was a time I shot in trap leagues Monday and Wednesday nights all summer and on weekends made the rounds of, usually, a couple of clubs in the area for a round of sporting and, once in a while skeet. Shot on my command's skeet squad when I was in the Navy. Now I shoot sporting a couple of times a month.

Don’t worry, you won’t die. It takes him 3-4 shots to kill anything, no wonder when his spotter is calling shots 16” off where they’re impacting…. LOL Spray ‘N’ Pray Burns

Ignores safe backstop.
Continues Butt Hurt posting.
Quit posting video that contradicts what you’re posting then doubling down. Eyes don’t lie. It’s not a good look.
Skeet - I've shot several impromptu, unregistered rounds of skeet at a little club range in Rockdale, TX back in the 80's. Shot ONE round of registered trap back in the 70's. Other than that, I've shot some over a stakedown Outers, "cock and load by hand" trap in Jimbo's pasture.

That's not a backstop, are you that ignorant?
And what's "butt hurt" about pointing out how this video is an embarrassment to responsible gun ownership? All in the name of "fancy shooting".

It’s not often you see a gay romance bud before your eyes. Stop flirting with Ricky and get yo ass to Albuquerque. Their is a 7am flight out of Billings tomorrow morning. Here’s is your chance at love burnsy.

Outstanding! Reading this post is like finding a gem in a dumpster.

That's on fire.
Right on smokepole!
To me it's interesting to watch a couple of people try to turn a classy and fun sport into an unsophisticated joke.
Never met a skeet, trap or sporting clay shooter that considered it a joke to be laughed at.
Hey just trying to help you out and get your man mr shy boy burns on a plane to Albuquerque. Finally you can share your cooking with someone else. Not sit at home all lonely listening to Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You while you eat.
Shot skeet, trap and sporting clays in competition for years. Trap was my least favorite of the 3. I mostly shoot sporting clays now, but just for fun.
After many years of informal trap shooting I started shooting skeet a couple years ago. One thing I found out quickly was, if you think you're any good at trap, skeet is a great way to humble yourself!
One thing I know for certain, you want to have the best Hearing Protection on the market.
Since I was the trapper as well as the shooter for many years on too many rounds with to many shooters to count, I now suffer from Tinnitus which isn't fun.
