I took the day off to get Ma, my sister and BIL, and the farm across the road caught up on snow removal. I am now drinking a new concoction, Bulleit rye and body armor lite, it freaking rocks!
Not really into stouts, much less a coffee one…but damn since it’s “Willettized”, I’m game! LOL When you make your road trip here for the bourbon flights, bring that stout and some backstraps!😎. I’m having some Willetts Pot Still Reserve Single Barrel.

Picked up a bottle of Bowman Brothers Small Batch bourbon on a recommendation today. Had enough of it this afternoon to know I won't likely be buying any more of it. It's OK.......and I'll probably pour some here in a bit........but way too alcohol forward (like rubbing alcohol) on the nose AND palate.
Picked up some Sailor Jerry rum for the wife. While browsing the sparse rum selection, I decided to get something a little different than my usual bourbon and scotch. Seen some decent reviews on Bacardi 10yr so grabbed a bottle. I hope this stuff is not representative of good sipping rum because it's not impressive. Better neat than Sailor Jerry but far from good.

Diplomatico or mount gay black barrel is good neat.
I’m bemoaning the recent disappearance of my Costco 17 year Speyside! Damn it was smooth, flavorful, and densely flavorful! Can’t find it around the house for some reason, but it was nice and not a pocketbook breaker for 17 year single malt scotch.
LeakyWaders: Save your monies, save your brain cells, save your health - do NOT buy liquor! Instead buy guns, ammo, optics and out door gear. Remember those brain cells YOU kill with alcohol NEVER come back! I am NOT preaching to you sinners but you can NOT re-sell whiskey once it has done its damage to your brain, heart, liver and nervous system - and you have pissed it out! You CAN re-sell guns, optics and outdoor gear - often for a profit. Plus you would have enjoyed those items with a clear brain, had you invested in them instead of the "devils brew"! Good luck to all you "cork-pullers". Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Took the kids to the local watering hole tongrab supper while mama was getting her hair did. Wasn't going to drink, but they were advertising green beer and I am weak. Luckily both kids have been driving for almost a year, so I had a DD.
Water. Youngest son has gone over the edge with drinking and has diabetes. He was coming home for help last week so I dumped every bottle down the drain. I was never a heavy drinker and in support of his fight my never have another drink. It did feel funny pouring more than ten. Bottles down the drain but I have no regrets.

I can’t remember the last time I had a drink of anything alcohol. I think it was Buffalo grass vodka with apple juice in Poland three years ago. Very popular drink there. It was excellent.
Getting ready to head to dancehall, a few Jack and cokes. I haven’t had a thing since March 5
Who is playing?
Worked offshore with a guy from new braunfels…
Envious, he saw a lot of great shows….
DJ tonight, prefer that. When you have a band it brings out a bunch of people that can’t dance, spill drinks on the dance floor, more crowded, basically sucks as far as dancing goes
Greune hall is in New Braunfels, lots of big names play there or have played there before they got real big. Place has no AC, best go late fall to about now or you will sweat your ass off.

Wheres Cheatham Street warehouse? Saw where Randy Rogers bought it ( or a share in it)
A terrible thing happened. I went a wedding where the only beer was something called Ultra Light Michelob. Drank one and it was DNFW. The store was out of PBR 12 oz. bottles so I got Miller 12 oz. bottles, 2 of which are spending their mandatory 20 minutes in the freezer now that we're back home.
Miller is eons ahead of that ultra light water but it ain't PBR.
House to myself after work. Relaxing in front of a fire with our black cat "Weasey". Started with a decent pour of Rebel 100 followed by small servings of Jack Single Barrel Barrel Proof and Woodford Double Oak. If you haven't tried the latter two, you're missing something pretty fantastic.
I ran out of my go to. Every Christmas my chemical salesman (field man) gives me a bottle of whiskey. The choice is Jack or Crown. This time it was Jack so tonight It’s Jack.
Ron Swanson's choice here...Offerman Edition...Lagavulin Single Malt aged 11 years.
It was a gift...nice sipping scotch.
Really like the Lagavulin 16. Need to preview each release though, have noted inconsistency yoy (disclaimer: minimal data here)... started on a good one, next wasn't as nice.
Tonight...I indulge in a tastey glass of Foragers Keep...26 year old orphaned barrel. It's gotten some dust on the bottle since I last opened it. A nice gift from a great friend.
Boring but good Woodford in an Oklahoma City bar. Meeting called me down here. The natives here seem more friendly than the Scandahoovians back home. Will evaluate further.
Too much and I promised to demonstrate my superior skills at cunnilingus. Please pray for my soul. I got about 10 more minutes until I am called to task.
Vodka has been my hard drink for decades. Folks here kept spouting Fresca for a quick mix. Hard to find in my local. Went on a mission to learn where it can be had here regularly. Found it.
Hit a sale & made a short road trip today. Brought 48 bottles of it home. No rationing here for a while. FUQK BL.
A wee dram of Redemption Rye, the young one. I read it’s an MGP product bottled by Redemption, as is the process for the Bulleit version. Tried Bulleit about a month ago and Redemption is the smoother it seems but don’t know why, especially with a splash of well water.
I got the same tea. Been having it hot with local honey from hives in a Jefferson, NC back yard. It is wild honey bee-made from whatever flower is in bloom at the time. Dark as good bourbon and as far from grocery store honey as you can get. And the tea’s pretty good too.
at nite, 16oz of root beer at day, 3 12oz cups of decaf coffee also i have a bottle or two of H2O
i gave up alcohol about 12 years ago. i gave up caffeinated drinks (a pot and a half of coffee every day) about 1 year ago because of my heart. my heart would beat rapidly when i went to sleep. i told my heart doctor about that and he prescribed a pill that i take every night.
