How many here know that the Constitutional Republic is no more?
When did you realize this?

Hard to say...

They have been chiseling since the Civil war.

One can make a compelling argument that when the federal government did not let state that joined the union of their own free will leave the union, that it was over.

I would agree with that. And since then, all we've done is perform CPR on a carcass. The idea we'll simply "vote" things back to the way they were intended is so misguided, I shudder to think those same people are allowed to move about freely.

The USA as the intended Republic is long since dead and only a replacement is viable, not some cocktail of band-aids to keep it appearing upright and functional.

In many ways Biden is a good representation of what this country is - long gone, held up by handlers and drugs to appear coherent but if you're paying attention, you know the lights are out.

In fairness to both sides, the constitution is silent on that issue.

The Declaration of Independence spells it out very plain.

I was in denial for quite a few years…..it’s become very obvious over the last 20 years or so! memtb

I fear that the window is very closing very fast to take our country back! The socialists/communists began taking over our educational system over 50 years ago…..and the results are apparent everyday in the news. Those that would actually fight for our Republic are rapidly dieting off or getting too old to take a stand. Those that are young and fit enough are in the “minority “!

I hate that I feel this way…..but, this is reality as I see it! memtb

There will never be another fight, the greatest generation and the boomers [me] did nothing to stop the Feds. Future generations will just accept what is given to them.

I’m not going back in time to the Civil War days, etc. cuz I wasn’t alive to realize anything.

I’m my lifetime my eyes were opened wide when election fraud became obvious to me, specifically the selection of Franken over Coleman, next was Obama’s first term where he did unconstitutional things on a regular basis without any objection by Republicans. The formation of the Uniparty became very clear to me back then.

The FBI Waco circus was the defining moment for me.

Don't get me wrong Koresh was a complete slimball but what the .gov did far outweighed anything Koreash ever thought of doing

The .gov murdered almost 100 people that day, that pales in comparison to what they murdered with Covid.
Posted By: ol_mike Re: How many here? - 03/08/23
Putting people who tested positive for covid into convalescent homes which killed many elderly people deserves mentioning.

Waco was most likely when my subconscious mind started gathering thoughts together.
Then the Cuban kid.....

When Bush, the elder, said his administration would be "Kinder and gentler".

I look back on it and I can't think of a thing that I, as an individual, could have done that would have changed anything. The system has been loaded against us for a long, long time. The Republican party gives it's support and money to moderates rather than conservatives and that is who we are left to vote for. Far too often I have had to vote for the person that I think will do the least damage and not for a candidate that supports our Constitution. Very, very disappointed in our political system, news media, voters and leaders!

1) Really? Where?
2) Doesn't matter, not a controlling document.

Don't worry it will only get worse.

Many "sparks" have already come and gone. Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Bundy standoffs, election 2020, the Jan 6th political prisoners. Excuses are always made and it will always be that way. Any individual or small group who took action would quickly be labeled as whackos and criminals by the very conservatives who constantly bitch and moan that something needs to be done by somebody. It would take some big, hairy balls to get involved. Unfortunately, America is fresh out of those and that will not change. Besides, conservatives have jobs and have to go to work.

It's been going downhill since the 60's hippie movement.

But what happened in 2020 was the final nail in the coffin in my opinion

Only two men in my lifetime have made a change for the better: Reagan and Trump. Reagan is dead and Trump has blown it and is going nowhere.

Until and unless some other giant appears on the World Stage those of our ilk are lost.

Since the Civil War.
Too bad Lincoln wasn't shot sooner. The man is responsible for more American deaths than in every war since.
