Seeing around here more credit card and debit card terminals that ask you if you want to give a 5, 10 or 15 percent tip. I was Checking out today and the terminal asked me if I wanted to give a tip. I press no and the lady had to say something stupid to me. my come back was if I put a roof on your house you going to tip me 10, 15, 20 percent, she said no of course, then I said to her why would I tip you for doing your job
Great comeback. I swear the no tip button doesn't work half the time. I have to hit it 3 or 4 times usually while they are giving me the stink eye. My apple card about 70% of the time bypasses it because it doesn't require a signature
I use that on doctors often
Because I am a roofer.
If I roof your fuggin house and charge you $10k…You’d howl if I charged to come back a month later and fix a leak. It’s my baby I’ll make it right.
Docs want to bill for surgical rechecks, $540 office visit for a 5minute looksie-doo at your incision.
I seen a tip jar at Harbor Freight….WTF
I worry about those so fragile as they can't handle the stink eye from some Karen when you don't bother to tip...
Now at my mexican dive, that’s different. I hook my folks up. They holler all the way from the back when Big Papa come in

My dad hates to tip. Talking typical bar/restaurant situation. He'll come to town and we'll do lunch or something and I gotta lay back and make sure she get's her deal.
He asks why and I say "Cuz I live here and see these people 2/3 times a week!" Gotta take care of people who take care of you.
I'm not anti-tipping but I don't tip places where I did all the work. Ain't tipping the lady at the gas station or the check in nurse or whatever.
The tipping request is in response to Joey’s shïtty economy. I d seen it in place that traditionally did not get a tip. Bars/restaurants is standard.
The whole tipping thing is incredibly stupid.
I always give guys at Lowes $5-10 for loading up concret bags, plywood or anything stupid heavy like a water heater.
They seemed pretty thrilled as if that is a rare occurrence.
I used to give the Ready Mix concrete guy $20-30 bucks and a a couple cold drinks. I’d be screeding and floating 8-10 yards usually by myself. Several times they’d jump in and help me for 30 mins and get it to where I could be ok.
LOL
i gave the mexican carport crew that put up my firewood shed. It was HOT like August 20th ish.
I sent em out with a 12 pack of Coors light and a giant box of ice cream sandwiches.
I bought each of the crew who built our house a country ham at Christmas time. They were all appreciative, but you’d have thought I gave a couple of them a winning lottery ticket. That makes you glee you did it.
If that comes up when I check out at Home depot I'm gonna ask where's the Fuqk No button?
I tip the bait guy $20 every morning. Sometimes I'll buy 3 quarts of live shrimp and dump out 4 after a day of fishing.
I seen tip jar at a local fishing store that raised his price through the roof, he's the owner and only worker there, all he does is take your money, WTF
I bought a trailer off the internet from Sheridan WY and tipped the delivery driver $100 when he got here last Sunday evening.
He was right on time and had great communication. Young guy about 30 years old and didn't want to take any extra money.
He was cool, educated redneck like us, Nebraska plates.
LOL

Nuthin' says luvin' like.............................................
Coors light and ice cream sammiches!
I'm a circumciser, I work for tips...
and a chance to get ahead.

You have a joke for all occasions!
I tip people that do work at my house if they do a good job. I tip at restaurants and bars.
I'd love to tip.
If it was on my own terms.
Remember when 10% was a good tip?
If everything, under a waitresses control, about a visit was as it should be,
seated at a clean table, pleasant, quick drinks never empty, attentive without
being annoying, I'm happy to reward her.
However, if she is barely engaged, there is 0 reason to tip.
I didn't hire her, can't fire her, ain't [bleep] her, have 0 care if she makes money.
If she can't maximize her income by doing the job well, those who tip her are
only encouraging her lazy, entitlement, mind set.
Our daughter waited tables. And did it well.
Not many blue collar men in our county earn what she die in hourly takehome
dollars. Working a family restaurant after school until 8 and bringing home
$100 to 150 per 4 hour night.
They don't need charity if they work.
Tipping is about like giving to the Walmart bums.
It's not about the Bum. It's about how much $5 can puff up the "giver".
My fave is when you go down a cafeteria line and afterwards the cashier tells me “The point of sale machine is going to ask you a question”. 🙄 Then the screen has buttons for 15, 18 or 20 percent. You gotta screw around with two other screens to edit the tip amount or say no. I’m happy to give em 5% but you’re not getting 20% for ringing up my lunch! If I have to go through several screens to change it. Nada.
I tip when it is earned delivering a great experience whether food, a hunt or a fishing trip.
Tip??? Stay in school, get a job, hard work will be rewarded.

I did.
Fuggggg, I thought this thread was about broken flyrods..
The whole tipping thing is incredibly stupid.
If it wasn’t before, it has certainly arrived there.

Oddly enough, Harbor Freight seems to have some really good employees. I haven’t seen a tip jar in one yet though. LOL!
If I tip, it’s cash and I let ‘em know it’s so FJB’s IRS gestapo can’t get at it!
