I always get a thrill seeing newly born critters in the wild every spring.

I took these goslings pictures on my property yesterday, they are not more than 20 hours old. I thought you guys might enjoy seeing them.

If you capture photos of newly born critters feel free to post some here.

My shorthair brought me a present Saturday. Extremely soft mouthed, so good for the bunny. Kids got a kick out of it. Then had to have him show me the nest out in the timber. As best I can tell there’s at least 6 in the pile. Maybe more.

Honkers. Probably some of the best parents found in the animal kingdom.

Haven't seen any goslings yet. I expect to soon.

Spring calves have been popping out for a couple of months now. Kid goats and lambs too. Not much in the way of wildlife though.

Nature is so beautiful and kind..........Most do not understand that a good share of those goslings won't make it through their first year.

Fawns are so cute hey?

Had another family just show up, this poor guy in his first day of life had a major battle with a 5" high barrier, finally managed it, and joined his family lol

I'm betting the Geese parents can be as threatening as a sow Grizzley

Fawns start dropping first week of June

Western winter kill has not been good though

I read about that in Wyoming right, very bad situation, especially for Antelope. Takes years to recover from that tragedy!

Only found one dead doe in my fields

We had way less than normal and the Alberta is on fire, not good for wildlife either!

These hours old Mallards showed up yesterday afternoon, in the exact same spot the geese were, they sure do like my backyard. A little blurry because my camera goes out of focus if there is an obstacle in front of the subject.

Had a new batch on my patio eating ants today, the ones I took last week are almost triple in size, amazing how fast they grow.

You'll have a whole bunch of those freeloading POS before you know it. Damn geese thought my deer feeders were for them and would run the deer off.

That sucks, their breasts taste great in Sausages if you have a good recipe.

I took a late night drive last night into the mountains I’ve flattened over the past 45 years. I located one of the travel and migration route of the mule deer over the last several years even though I’m not hunting here. I saw no less than 50+ deer in an hour and a half and at one point a HUGE cauliflower headed buck came busting out of the Ponderosa stand and stopped short of running right into me. He stopped for a second and we looked at each other before he loped off. I can happily say that the NE Washington deer herd is in great shape but I’ll be busy elsewhere in the future….👍🏼
