My brother took JJ (John Junior)this morning to end his suffering, he was blind, and deaf for the last year or so. He was still eating and bumper carring around, but pretty much skin n bones. 18 years was a good haul, he found many deer for us and went on several adventures with my brother, he will be missed.
Prayers Up. Hard thing to do for sure. I hate it.
Tough day for you guys, Roger. Sorry to hear it.
What a great dog and life run. We only have them for a little while sadly.
RIP JJ. Looks like he had a helluva run Roger.
Sorry Roger
Very sorry, it truly does suck.
Sorry to hear!
Our Brita, a mini made it to 17.
It's a real loss when they're around that long.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your buddy.
We just let one cross the bridge as well.
Rest in peace JJ.
Dangit Roger...
Let your brother know there are lots of us out here who feel his pain. (And yours too.)
I recall seeing that last pic of you and JJ before - that's a great one. Remember those great times.
I'm not ashamed to say, I've shed some tears, burying good dogs. If your a dog person, you get it.
Sorry to hear that. I dread the day
Roger,
Sorry to hear this. The little buggers worm their way into your very soul.
I cried like a baby when we had to put our little doxie down….

I have shed more tears over pets I have lost than most people I knew well.
Sorry for your loss, OP.
The hardest part of having a dog.
Sorry to hear. It is hard to make that decision and it feels like your heart is ripped out. RIP JJ.
18 years is a great run for a pooch, but all that much harder when they leave.
Stxhunter: Been there done that.
R.I.P. little doggie and hoping the pain soon eases for its master/friend.
Hold into the wind

Sorry to hear you and your brother lost your pal.
Good Boy John Junior, good boy.
Sad news. I have had to put down 2 dogs in the last 2 years. It just plain SUCKS.
Weiner dogs rock 😎 m
Your little dog had a good run Rog, about as good a life as a dog could ask for.
Damn! Sorry to hear that Rogeri.
Sounds like he was a damned good dog that led a really good life. I’ve always liked Weiner dogs. RIP JJ
I never met the dog and still tearing up thinking about it.
Our little old Henry died in my wife's arms last February.
In a way it was a blessing as he was blind and had to wear a fricken' dog diaper but I still miss the little [bleep].
Bye JJ,
You're just around the bend waiting. With so many others.
THE PATH BEYOND THE BEND
Have you ever walked along a path
And looked ahead of you
To where the road turned suddenly
And seemed lost awhile from view?
Think of your dear one living still
Where the road goes on without end
It is only WE who do not see
The path beyond the bend

Wow Stx, 18 is a hell of a run, but that makes it really hard to say goodbye. My dogs are all I got nowadays and losing them will be the end of me.
Sorry for you guys.
