Dear Father, I thank You for my wife. give her strength to overcome this medical condition, she is more precious to me than rubies. I trust her and am so grateful for how much she blesses my life. Today, I come to You especially on her behalf. I pray that You bless her—spirit, mind and body—for who she is and for all that she does for our family and our home. I thank You that she is smart, hardworking, and prosperous in everything she does. I thank You that she is respected, favored and loved by her family, friends, neighbors and co-workers; and I pray that they see what a treasure she is. Just over 2 years ago we started a similar journey with my bride. A couple of surgeries and chemo treatments, numerous scans and some sleepless nights for both of us. Saw the Oncologist again just today and she has been given a tentative 'all clear ', no signs of any of the disease at this time. Two weeks ago today was our 47th anniversary . . . great gift from above in recognition of that day. My prayers for the two of you are that you will have a similar outcome.

Yes, she did. She had a PET scan this morning before surgery and it showed four “hot” sentinel nodes higher up her thigh. The oncology surgeon just talked to us and said while the nodes showed up on the PET scan it doesn’t mean that there is a problem in that area. They will begin radiation therapy in about a month when they are sure the grafts are successful. If it appears that there is more involvement in any area we will be on a plane to Boston and Dana-Farber for immunotherapy.

The late Bible-teacher Derek Prince spoke about the power of proclaiming scriptures. When his wife was hospitalized with a very serious diagnosis, both Derek and his wife repeatedly proclaimed this scripture below. She survived.
A couple of years ago, a close friend was hospitalized a week with a very serious case of Covid - doctors were unsure whether he would survive. For days, I proclaimed the scripture, replacing the word “I” with his name. He is thriving and has dedicated his life to the Lord.
