I have seen them 20 times if not more. Still have great voices, put on a no BS show. They sing, don’t talk, play the songs like they were recorded. Excellent musicians. I highly recommend them.
Saw them 20 years ago or so live at an outdoor concert. First time I ever heard an artist sound as good in person as they did on record. I dig their music whatever label you apply to them.
For my 18th birthday my dad got me 2 tickets to go see them in Sioux Falls. My buddy and I loaded some beers up and went. We stashed a bunch of beer into our coats and every other place we could come up with. When we walked in it was a benefit for the police. Cops were everywhere! We did manage to sneak a few during the concert.
When I was a school principal for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw, we were sent to Santa Fe for a training session. They had the table next to us. I was the only educated redneck in the crowd who knew who they were. Down to earth Florida cowboys and ranchers. Very nice. If I remember correctly, New Mexico had adopted their song Santa Fe or some such occasion. We talked while waiting on our meal. I liked their music and the fact that they were down to earth. I too, liked the line: If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me ?” Great pickup line.
