Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley blasted primary challenger Vivek Ramaswamy for his stance on aid to Israel.

Ramaswamy "is completely wrong to call for ending America's special bond with Israel," the former U.N. ambassador tweeted Monday. "Supporting Israel is both the morally right & strategically smart thing to do."

"This is part of a pattern with Vivek—his foreign policies have a common theme: they make America less safe," Haley wrote.

Ramaswamy, who has surged to third place in Republican primary polls, has come under fire from Republican Jewish leaders for saying the United States should end military aid to Israel after 2028.

The candidate's position on the issue has shifted throughout the campaign. He recently told the Washington Free Beacon that he supports ending aid after the current funding package expires in 2028, saying that aid will be unnecessary after he successfully brokers peace deals between Israel and the Arab world.

Ramaswamy has also faced criticism for suggesting that the government lied about the 9/11 attacks.

Haley has positioned herself as a foreign policy hawk, vowing to take aggressive measures against China and cut off aid to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. She has also stated that "we have to win" the war in Ukraine, while fellow GOP hopefuls Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump have called for a negotiated peace.

He may be lot of things, but he isn't a moron. He's the only one who has laid out any semblance of a platform that makes any sense and differs from what we have been hearing for 50 years. Whether or not he could accomplish it is another matter... He is well spoken, doesn't spend time patting himself on the back all day long, and answers questions in a straight forward, clear, and understandable manner. This sets him apart from just about every other person running or wanting to run this cycle. As for Nikki Haley- I lost faith in her after her stint at the UN was over. She went over to some other side- I'm not sure which- when she was released from servitude, which is a shame since she was darned good at the UN as our ambassador. She didn't take any crap from anyone there and was willing to put our interests out there in a forceful manner when necessary.

As far as Israel aid I think it would be a huge mistake to cut aid to them. We could easily cut way back on aid to many other countries that are a total waste of aid either because they hate us or because they are so 3rd world it isn't in our interest to continue to support them at this time as they have nothing to offer in return. Israel, on the other hand, shares intelligence (well, some intelligence but not all) keeps the muzzies from taking over the entire middle east, and keeps their nuclear ambitions somewhat corralled by bombing their facilities when necessary. If Netanyahu's enemies- the socialist bastids- are able to take over the Israeli Knesset and rule in their arcane method of government - all bets are off... I would rather see us cut off any aid we are giving to Canada until that idiot Trudeau is gone and they have a more conservative government...

We live in a complex global world. It's tempting to put your head in the sand or in your ass, but the reality is we either have allies or enemies. If we cut all foreign aid, the Chinese and the Russians will move in and provide influence with our current allies.

As the largest and wealthiest free country in the world comes responsibilities. That includes providing a degree of aid to our allies. If we no longer want to be a powerful nation, we can isolate ourselves and let the Chinese and Russians take control.
