Heading to work this morning and drove by the ranch I used to work at only to see one of the horses I used to ride smacked in the road.😔

Man, that's awful.

I was on a sh it ton of horses at that ranch, but he was the first one.

That was tough to see. Man I feel bad just on account of the horse.

Damn that sucks!!! I am familiar with that ranch and was there a lot as a kid. Hate to see that.

I'm sure sorry for you and for the horse. I can see in the photo it must have been a painful injury, and the horse no doubt was stressed.

It's sad for the horse, but it's compounded due to your bond with the animal.

Wasn’t a feral. Was an old cow pony I bought off another ‘fire member. Rode him for awhile. But then his time was up. Neighbor was a rancher whose land abutted the Milk. I figured he worked cows on the Milk in his salad days, so trailered him close as I could get. Walked him to a high spot with a good view. Put him down and he rolled down into a tight coulee.

Should’ve taken the halter off before he fell down the coulee.

That was a pain in the ass.

At least you didn't have to bury it.

Barn cats are born to die.

Horse f u c ked around on the road and found out. My horse busted out on two occasions and instead of stuffing his face in the timothy field he was out f u c king around on the road while people are going to work. I was lucky no one plowed into him.

Not one mention if the folks that hit the horse that shouldn’t have in the road are ok.

This is going to come as a huge shock to you but sometimes penned livestock gets out.

I know, crazy huh??

Then why all the tears about a horse getting hit?


It’s all fine till it’s you or yours hitting the livestock.
