Looks like holding isn't being called against the Js offensive line now.

No pressure on the Qb and good holes for runs.

Seminoles vs Hurricanes about to kick off on ABC.
Should be a good game despite Miami being unranked.

Yes, but the points are still scored.

Bama destroys Kentucky at home 49-21, and it was not that close. Jalen Milroe scores 6 TD's.
Let's go Utah
Roll Tide!
Seminoles up 10-0 over Miami in the 2nd qtr.

Horns vs the Horned Frogs ought to be a good game tonight. Be nice to see TCU knock off TX.

Six touchdowns? Gee whiz.
Seminoles & Hurricanes tied up at 13 all halfway through the 3rd qtr. Good game so far.
Utah giving Washington a game. Huskies lead 33 to 28 in the 3rd qtr.
Arizona beat Colorado

Better check on that one guy that drinks Deion's bathwater.

Miami’s QB just hit the Ref in the square in the chest with a errant pass. 🤪😂😂😂

Sorry. I just glanced and saw the score flashed at the bottom of the screen while watching the FSU / Miami game. And posting on the Campfire. 😬
Hurricanes just completed a 85 yard TD pass to keep them in the game. Seminoles lead 27 to 20.
8 minutes to go in the 4th.
Damn. Looks like Cane’s QB might have broken his throwing arm scrambling for a 1st down on a 4th down play.
They’ve got his arm all wrapped up and carted him off the field.
Seminoles hang on for the win after Miami’s backup QB rows an interception.
K-State squeaked by Baylor.
LOL.

Texas finally able to score on TCU after the Horned Frogs DF shut them down on their first two series.
Horns lead 7 to 3. Go Horned Frogs ! 😬

Georgia up 21 to 14 over Ole Miss in the 2nd Qtr.
There’s a real football game on now. Georgia up on Ole Miss 21-14.
Damn!!! TCU defender gets a big INT from TX, returns it for 35 yards, then fumbles it right back to the Horns. 🤪

Horns up 26 to 6 now. Horned Frogs lost their good QB and RB to the NFL draft, last year.

Maybe T-Tech will knock them off in a couple of weeks after stopping Kansas today.

UCF stomped a mud hole in OSU but OU is beating the crap out of WV. To much point spread to make either one a good game.

The puke zebras not calling PI against Texas in the End Zone has the announcers muttering and wondering WTH is going on.

He'll, the Texas defender only held the receiver back with both hands for 5 yards. Sheesh

TCU had a great 4th quarter but came up short. A missed 4th down play at the Texas goal line cost the Frogs the game. Was a good watch. Frogs beat the Vegas Line handily, TX -12 1/2, Final score 29-26

Horns got away with holding and pass interference all fugging night. Not to mention several blatant personal fouls not called against them. Easy to beat an unranked TCU team with the refs helping all night.
And still they were barely able to beat TCU 29 to 26.

They’d get crushed by Michigan or Georgia. Or even the Suckeyes were they to make the final 4.
They’ve been over ranked all season. As per usual.
They’ll be damn lucky to beat T-Tech.

OU sucks it up against OK state. Then turns around and beats the brakes off WVU. Georgia takes care of business. Bama getting stronger every week. Don't give a care about what Washington does, Bama will beat Georgia in the conference title game, and more than likely win the NC.

Playoff needs to be
1. Bama
2. Georgia
3. TOSU
4. Michigan

Won't be though. It'll have a mediocre Texas team and a Washington team. A big 10 winner and a SEC winner. Be 3 blowouts in the CFP.
Posted By: Coyote10 Re: College Football on Fire - 11/12/23
BTW. Oklahoma's QB has 8 TDs.
I don't care who your playing. 8 tds is wild!
Roll tide. I think UW with Penix at QB is the X factor in the playoff mix Utah is a good bunch Meechigan Osu will be a good match up. We will meet UGA again in the Sec title game hope big Bowers plays and that Kirby has coached up Carson Beck about what's coming. We're better but this is not a classical great Bama team Oline has improved secondary is holding it together and Will Reichard remains steadfast. Milroe@QB vast improvements. Legit question for yall Sabanhaters the Sec fatigued the crowing dynasty is dead folks how do you feel that an improved Bama bunch with one loss can still win another championship? Sure we have to get past Uga have to win out lots of football left but we still have to be dealt with. Roll tide.
Posted By: Coyote10 Re: College Football on Fire - 11/12/23
Georgia ain't ready for Bama.
Smart thinks he is, but Saban has some dogs out there right now and they are getting better and stronger each week.

Good. Maybe the Refs are paying them back for all the penalties they got away with last week against TCU. Who they just barely beat with a LOT of help from the Refs 😜

4 minutes left in the game, Kentucky down by 3 , 15 yards from field goal distance, 3rd and 10, they call a deep ball pass which the QB overthrows his guy by 10 yards,

they decide to go for it on 4 and 10, get a delay of game penalty because the idiot coach can't call a time out

The Mark Stoops formula for success:

1. Schedule three cupcake non-conference games at the start of each season; pray you actually win them

2. Pray that Vandy and Louisville both suck azz

3. Pray that you can somehow scratch out one or maybe two competitive conference wins

4. Have your fake lawyer shill screeching on the radio every weekday morning about how tough and physical your team is, and how competitive you are at recruiting

5. Depend on a fan base so used to getting its azz kicked that five or six wins a season and an occasional trip to some mediocre bowl game doesn't seem too bad

6. Rinse and repeat

Tech looks terrible tonight. Pretty much sums up their season.

If the Horn’s were in danger, the Refs would’ve helped them out there in Austin. 😜

Guess I’ll have to hope the Sooners knock them off, if they make it to the Big 12 Championship game.

That is, if BYU beats OKie St. tomorrow, first. 🤪

Regardless, Horns won’t make it to the BCS Championship game.

Which means, of course, Longhorns are gonna have to play the Sooners. Again ! 🤪

Hope they saw the Horns off of ole Beevo! Again!!
Auburn up 21 to 20.

Auburn just got away with 3 players shifting on their 4th and 2 play. Refs charged Bama with offsides. 🤪

Bama stops Auburn 1st and goal series.

Auburn has to settle for a FG.

Auburn 24 to 20. For now. 🤪
Where the heck were tge Refs on that last play with the obvious blatant Personal Foul for a blind side hit on the Bama player???

This Ref “crew” needs a good ole fashioned Southern tar & feather party.

Worst Officiating I’ve seen in YEARS ! 🤪

Why are they not calling A for lining up.in the neutral zone on Defence
Ought Oh. Auburn kick returner fumbles the ball away to the Tide. 👍🏻
BAMA
TD Alabama!!! It was 4th and goal. But they were backed up on the 31 yard line due to penalties. 🤪

They lead 27-24 with 32 seconds left othe game clock.

I look at football as entertainment.

Gonna have some good guys, some bad guys, some in the middle. Don't really care if they lie, cheat, steal, what ever.

Entertain me!!!

I don't let what some do, influence my life. They are entertainers. Not my life coach

Alabama had a face mask on an Auburn kick returner and the refs didn't call it. It was there for all to see. Bad officiating.

LOL. We discussed that already. 3 pages ago. 🤪
OKie State finally beat BYU in O/T.

They’ll play the Horns next Saturday in the Big 12 Title game. Should be a barn burner.
Georgia Tech scores the first TD.

Why?
Is it because he took arguably the worst college program in the USA and turned it in to a big 12 champion over OU and led them to many very successful seasons?
Was on the plains for the iron bowl. What a great fan base auburn has and a great place to watch a football game. The weather couldn't have been better.

That tide finish, though. Sucked the air and the volume right out of 80K plus. I've never seen so many fans exit a stadium so quickly.

Auburn lost their horseshoe and their luck ran out. Mediocre team that almost pulled off an upset with help from penalties. Fugg Auburn, LSU and Tennessee too! — Rammer Jammer

Sure, they will win the big 10. Big deal. The majority of the other teams are pathetic.
They will get stomped once again in the national championship.

Next year, their fluff years are over, and they will get reamed in the regular season.

Jimmy might as well look for an announcing career.

I believe Stoops makes 9Mil a year and has a job for as long as he wants. Who wants to get thrown into a Cauldron for a few more bucks.

Elko's success depends on who he hires as an OC and how much freedom they get to run their offense. Their Defense will be stout.

I never can understand why coaches leave programs where they are appreciated and are making more money than Croesus to go someplace where the job is not to develop a winning program and successful young men, but rather is to try (unsuccessfully) to make some rich rectums with unreasonable expectations (read demands) happy.

Most likely what really happened.
Posted By: KFWA Re: College Football on Fire - 11/27/23
I"m not sure Stoops felt he was all that appreciated at UK.

He was telling people he was gone and then A&M there was a revolt going on with the hiring once it leaked out.

The Official Kentucky narrative is that A&M wanted and his staff (he does have a pretty good group of coaches) as a package deal and UK was offering most of them packages to stay, since they only had like 18 hours to decide, Stoops backed out

It might be a little of both, but if Stoops turned A&M down, I think its because he knew he was up against it and their opening game next year is against Notre Dame.

Bo is gonna throw for 3 TDs and run in another. No picks.

Penix is gonna get picked twice, with one returned for a TD. He’s gonna fumble the ball away once, too.

Well, you can’t be accused of not laying it out there!
Washington really struggled last week against WSU; not a big O fan, but I'm going pull for them tonight & I think they are a better team.

LMAO !

Back in the good ole days, when the Big 12 was the old South West Conference, members of the Aggie Corps and Vet students use to kidnap the Texas Longhorn mascot Beevo, and return him with his horns sawed off. They also branded ole Beevo several times with the old A&M logo. 😂

The Longhorn students would try to sneak on the TAMU Campus, and paint the statue of E. King Gill, the original Aggie 12th man, who was called up out of the stands to play in a 1922 game, burnt Longhorn Orange. 🤪
They very rarely succeed, as the statue, located right next to our stadium, was always heavily guarded by Aggie Corps Seniors the week of the rival game.
Most of the Longhorns that were caught trying, received a severe beating, and head the bucket of orange paint they carried dumped over their heads.

Which has the Almighty ESPN wanting to eliminate them from the FINAL FOUR, since they are no longer the team that they were with him, and the right to be involved is based on their (ESPN's) eye test of who comprise the BEST four teams rather than on merit as determined by games won.

😂😂😂😂😂

Choot, Jackie Sherrill had a bull calf castrated in front of his team before a Miss St / Texas game.

IT WORKED

Jackie Sherrill was head coach while I was there. One of my all time favorite TAMU coaches.
Along with Coach Gene Stallings.
Coach Stallings is a distant, distant cousin of mine.
He was one of the famed “Junction Boys” that played for Coach Bear Bryant at TAMU in the 1950’s.
And of course, went on to Coach Alabama in the 1990’s.

Huskies already up 10 to 0 Over the Ducks. 🤪

End of 1st qtr. Washington driving again from there 35 yard line.

So then we see Georgia, Michigan, Washington, and Alabama in the playoffs.

Still think Michigan won’t beat either of them?

I’m not impressed. Although I will freely admit to being moderately biased.
Huskies hold the Ducks to a FG.

Washington leads 10-3.
LOL. Huskies throw a 47 yard pass and th score on a 3 yard run on the next play. They’re up 17-3 🤪
Ducks finally get a TD after some help from the Refs in a BS pass interference call. 🤪

Huskies lead 20-10 at halftime.

The way those 2 teams play , it's the team that is the more aggressive and has a good gameplay. Penix threw some dimes . I wonder if being a lefty QB is an advantage when it comes to deep passes?

One would think that Lanning would know what a proper defense is considering his background. The Ducks OL was not an OL.

Look at Oregons recruiting numbers the past 4 years and Washington's, One would think UO would have obliterated based on that. Washington has a hell of a coach.

Couldn’t get me to vote that kid anything none the less the Heisman. Sat there like petulant brat with a towel over his head during the crucial game end while the defense was giving their best. Great leadership! Did the same after the game while all the others manned up and shook hands. He should have been out front either way, strong in victory stronger in defeat for himself, and more so for the team.

He has talent, still a very good shot at the big money. He should get no more.

Posted By: jaguartx Re: College Football on Fire - 12/02/23
Dayom. Unreal. Texas comes to the line of scrimmage to kick a field goal and OSU delays game by lining up late. Ref stays bent over on the line and holding the ball down as the play clock ticks down to 2 seconds before Ewers can start his play count. Chickenschietts then call Texas for delay of game foul.

Announcers call the BS for what it is. Delay of game was due to OSU and Zebra.

UFR. Never saw that schiett before.

A win today won’t get the Horns in the BCS Final 4 because……….

If Alabama beats Georgia…
And Louisville beats FSU….
And of course, Michigan beats Iowa,

The Final 4 will be :

Michigan vs Alabama & Georgia vs Washington. 🤪

😂😂😂
Posted By: slm9s Re: College Football on Fire - 12/02/23
UL wont beat FSU.
If, AL beats UGA:
First UGA is out, no conference championship and not undefeated.
Head to head doesn't matter?
Texas beat Alabama by double digits at Alabama. Both would have 1 loss and both would be Conference Champs.
Mich / UW / Texas / FSU.
3 undefeated conference Champs. TEXAS in over AL due to head to head.

Wel., being a Texan I don't see what's so great about that. If TCU or Baylor or A&M or Texas Tech had the Longhorns record I'd sure as hell be pulling for a Texas win.

If OU or OSU were in it against the SEC or Michigan or Ohio or Washington i'd be pulling for them to win it all also.

I guess my hate for Texas just goes so far.

Well, then I guess you’ve never had the pleasure of sitting on the opposition’s side in their stadium there in Austin, and hit with the bottles and stuff they threw at us. Best friend’s girlfriend was hit in the head with a pint whiskey bottle, and required stitches.
I’ve been to every stadium of opposing TX teams in the old SWC Conference and never saw any more classless Asswholes than Longhorn fans.
Only place worse is LSU’s “Death Valley”. 🤪

I’d be pulling for any other TX team, too, or even Oklahoma St or the OU Sooners, too. But FUGG the Longhorns. Sorry Doc. YMMV. 😬

Alabama up 17-7 at Halftime.

Tide’s DF has shut down Georgia after their first and only TD.

Doesn’t mean Alabama will win, as Georgia has had to come from behind in most of their wins this year.
But if Alabama keeps dominating the line and running the ball, Georgia may lose this one. We shall see.

Alabama D holds Georgia to a FG.

You're right, FSU is the weakest of those that will get consideration, but if they win, they'll be there.

Along with UM, UW & AL.

If FSU loses, GA will be in at number 4, AL at number 3.

Setting up a possible all SEC final.....................

GA is more worthy than TX, based on being #1 all year & strength of schedule.

If FSU loses, GA will be in at number 4, AL at number 3.

Setting up a possible all SEC final.....................

GA is more worthy than TX, based on being #1 all year & strength of schedule.

MM

Not hating that but again what about the TX vs Bama thing. Both one loss and TX won head to head

Early in the season and Bama just beat number one. No way Texas leapfrogs either.
Not only, that, but 'Bama is a far cry from where they started the season, especially at QB.

Texas is the team that beat the National Champs on their home turf.

Do games count over personal justifications or not?
Seminoles have 1 yard of total Offense against Louisville. 🤪

Totally agree with that

Just sayin that in the past the Selection Committee has valued head to head

So beating them is called leapfrogging them.

LOL. No doubt.

The couple of games I watched Louisville play early on this year, they looked pretty damned good, though. 🤪
There is absolutely no path for TX to be in the top 4.

Zero, nada, no-ting.

Like TCU a few years back, MM?

Why? Because advertising dollars rule in the final four or a popularity contest?

Neal, I realize you hate Texas because A&M couldn't beat their meat if they had to wear urange underwear, but Sheesh, if it wasn't Texas beating them it would have been someone else doing it, just as it' has been since they went to the SEC.

Texas hasn't beaten them in years and Alabama does it now.

Are you just jealous they aren't the big wheel in Texas?

It's the Aggies fault they get beat. They wanted to suck the bleck coach root so bad they just had to get a taste.

You should be mad at them, not Texas

No. Apparently you skipped my earlier post. 🤪

I despise rude behavior from low class fans that throw schitt at the opposing team’s fans in their home stadium. Tells me everything I need to know about the Longhorns.
Austin PD wouldn’t even arrest a couple of those fuggin losers they caught red handed. Tells me everything I need to know about the Longhorn “faithful”.

IDK what a committee will do. But Alabama is definitely a top 4 team. GA prob is. But they lost today.

Texas deserves credit for beating AL in Tuscaloosa. I personally think that should matter. And TX looked great against a pedestrian OK St team today.

I'm thinking 1) MI 2) WA 3) TX 4) AL

FSU may indeed beat Louisville and win the ACC. They're not as good as the above listed top 4.

I wouldn't bet on Michigan based on the last few minutes.
They probably will win, last win of their season, or it could be a major Jimmy clutch upset.

Best chance for them to win a bowl would be to lose against Iowa tonight.

LOL. What’s the score ?
10-0 Michigan at the half against the #5 defense in the nation.

End of 1st half ACC "Championship"; 10 first downs; 11 punts. Awesome football. FSU has 80 yds

FSWho / Louisville is pitiful.
Posted By: Coyote10 Re: College Football on Fire - 12/03/23
Actually, there is a pretty good argument for a 13-0 Washington to get the 1 spot with the committee. However, Bama would destroy them. So would Georgia for that matter. In all reality, Georgia and Bama should both be in there. Texas is deserving as well. Michigan is undefeated, but stop the run, which Georgia and Bama definitely will and they are done.
Posted By: Cruiser1 Re: College Football on Fire - 12/03/23
Michigan is only leading Iowa 10-0 at half off a 87yd punt return.

17-0 early 3rd.

Iowa’s offense averages 18 points a game.

Wait til next year when it expands to 12 teams

Could have a situation where 2 teams meet in regular season, meet in the conference championship, and then meet in the playoffs

There will still be the same pissing and moaning over who should be #12 that there is over who should be #4 now. It will just make it that much easier for the committee to wave its magic wand over the team(s) that everybody KNOWS belongs in the mix, even though they haven't earned it over the course of the season.

I don't have a problem with NIL.

Not crazy about all the conference realignment or the move to a 12 team playoffs.
Posted By: slm9s Re: College Football on Fire - 12/03/23
UM, UW, TX, and FSU.

FSU is the last one in. They beat the #14 ranked team in their conf championship game with their freshman 3rd string QB. The 2nd string guy will be back for the playoff. You can't leave out an undefeated P5 conference champion.

Alabama should have beat Texas. They didn't and they lost the ability to control their destiny. And it wasn't a last second FG loss either, they lost by ten at home. They also didn't beat LSU by as many as FSU beat LSU.

Yeah probably right

I would switch out FSU for Alabama, but thats just me.

I like to see people's angst when Saban is involved
Y'all think the committee is leaving the SEC champion out of the playoff?

An SEC champion in a league where 5 teams are in the top 15, and a team that beat 4 ranked SEC opponents, including the #1 national seed.

Ok.

Last year’s championship game is still remembered by many. It was a complete chit show. That game was over by the 2nd quarter. If FSU makes it at #3 Washington is going to destroy them. If Texas makes it in over bama. Michigan and Texas would be a good game. But I’m going UM, UW, bama, Georgia.

So we've officially reached the point where a season's body of work is meaningless. Now we have a possible rematch for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP between two teams who have already played - what bullchit. So, since an injury is the penultimate measure, I go back to what I have asked previously: if one of the four suffers a significant injury in practice leading up the play-off, do we replace them with #6 Georgia (since Florida State has already forfeited their spot by having an injury)?
Has to do with 4 BEST not 4 MOST DESERVING
Meyer called it when he said if Bama gets in Texas has to as well. Guess he was correct. I was flat wrong; didn’t think they would put Texas above Georgia.

And I still think Georgia would flatten Texas.

OSU whose signature wins were against ND who was destroyed by Louisville . Penn state GMAFB a one dimensional team.

Our Second string QB is better then anyone on Meatchickens squad

in 2014 OSU had Cardale who was a 3rd string QB win the NC.

FSU beat LSU and ???

Besides FSU has a broke legged QB and can't score. Committee doesn't want that trainwreck in the playoffs

Beretta_Shitter

OSU whose signature wins were against ND who was destroyed by Louisville . Penn state GMAFB a one dimensional team.

Our Second string QB is better then anyone on Meatchickens squad

in 2014 OSU had Cardale who was a 3rd string QB win the NC.

Committee is corrupt to the core and was influenced by ESPN.

Yup. One big giant conspiracy against Florida State.

LOL

No it is the SEC whining about being left out of the Playoffs. Again how in the hell do two teams that played each other and are one loss teams allowed in the playoffs.

Because they are still better than FSU

I don't feel sorry for FSU one little bit. They could have joined the SEC when they had the chance. But noooo, we gonna stick it to these east coast teams and try and look tuff doin' it.

Strength of schedule matters.

Laffin here...
Any of the teams in the playoffs would whip FSU like a rented mule. That’s the current reality.

I don’t think Texas is a better team than Georgia, but obviously the selection committee disagreed.

No . UF protested loudly at the time and would do it again. Your team does not belong.

There is no possible reasoning behind an Alabama team that lost at home to Texas by two possessions, struggled with South Florida on the road with a backup quarterback, narrowly beat Texas A&M and Arkansas, and needed a 4th & 31 to beat Auburn on the road.

I have very little respect for Bama fans, the feeling is mutual.

I wasn't making excuses for Bama, just pointing out the fact that FSU has a patsy schedule by their own design. Frankly there are several 2 loss teams that would smash FSU. That's not the fault of talkin' heads at ESPN.

Their own design? Did you see the SOS of the teams that are in the playoffs?
This season is exactly why an expanded playoff system is needed.

Yeah cuz past FSU championships have any bearing on this years team that doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.

The committee system sucks and always has. 4 team playoff has always been a joke.

How would one know what would happen if you rig the CFB process like ESPN/DISNEY? It is a disgrace.

They might have the best defense in all of CFB for starters. We would destroy every team ranked in the new rankings every last one.

Easy we have Jimbo Fisher as a HC. You know the SEC mastermind that A&M is paying 77 million payout to. You barely beat Auburn who the previous week was destroyed by New Mexico State. You had to headhunt Jayden Daniels just to win the LSU game. We had a more convincing win over LSU than Bama did.

You lost by two scores to Texas at home. We are 13-0.

Since you want to go back 10 years. Remember when Auburn beat your AZZ and then lost to us in the Rose Bowl for a NC? SEC SEC SEC LMFAO

True.
Since we're talking about past seasons your 13-0 is #5 our 12-1 is #4. Oh my bad you mean like 10 years ago Saban 6 rings at Bama 1 at Lsu Fsu had how many titles total? Tell ya what Oldelk call Bamas AD up schedule a game pay the money Tallahassee Tuscaloosa the Walmart parking lot in Columbus GA A cow pasture in Defuniak Springs Fla or the beach in Point Clear AL where does not matter but careful what you wish for you just might get it. Roll Tide.

We play you 2025 and 2026. First game of the year or did you not know that?
I have no dog in this fight but have a question. How does FSU beat any of the top 4 teams when they have no offensive? They could barely score against Louisville.
I did still don't care about it because your Acc and were Sec. We lost to a good Texas team whose coming to the Sec along with Oklahoma. Since your better at numbers than I am how many Titles does the Acc have and the Sec have? Be sure and Count OU and UTw(that's what we call Texas to avoid confusion with Tenny.) Haven't looked it up myself I bet the Sec has more as in "It just means more." I know your 13-0 earned you a #5 spot and our 12-1 earned us #4 your out we're in.

They don’t.

Or Oregon, or Georgia, or Ohio State, or …
Would love to see WA win it all, but doubt they do. Not sure what else FSU can do. They play two SEC non conference games which is more than anyone else did. Bama beat my pathetic Hogs by 3 at home. A real powerhouse this year. If only the ACC could afford to decline all bowl bids and tell the NCAA to [bleep] off.

The funny thing is Michigan’s wins will be vacated next year so it really doesn’t matter if they are in or not.

Georgia was penalized more for losing to Alabama than TX was for losing to Oklahoma. Explain that?

I didn’t think they would make it either but Urban Meyer called it last night. Said there was no way Alabama gets in without Texas getting in. I still think Georgia is a better team than Texas but I missed the selection committee’s call when they were soliciting my opinion.
I think Washington and Bama are the 2 best out of the four chosen. I think GA is better than TX but the SEC championship game is brutal, it guarantees that a marquee team will lose their last game. Bad timing for GA

Have you ever beaten FSU dumbazz ? Not in my lifetime . We have 3 national titles that were not accomplished in the early 1900's where players used leather helmets. A michigan fan would not know what football is. It's not your fault.

I guess the selection committee didn't get the memo

Stupid, pretty unsupported decision based on most of their past precedents of taking a major conference winner, especially being undefeated.

Although there is really no doubt that FSU is the weakest of the top 5 or 6 contenders & play in an overall weak-azz conference compared to the other 4 major conferences, ordinarily FSU would have been taken as has happened in the past for the most part.

This was a political decision based on the whining of TX, & they managed to justify it simply because TX beat AL in an early game when they've ALWAYS weighted year end performance over early season performance.

JMO which doesn't matter at all & I am not an avid supporter of any of the contenders.

FSU has always been dissed by the NCAA and the networks--read ESPN--since that a- hole Keith jackson we get the shaft all the time --if there is a seeding you can expect us to be 8 or 9 --why? be those seeds play the #1 in the next round. It won't stop until FSU decide to withdraw from the NCAA

Where are all the. Butt Hurt Georgia fans ???
Haven’t heard a one of them complain yet.

The REAL Butt Hurt Will began when Alabama wins another National Title.

They’ll beat Michigan and whoever survives the Longhorns vs Huskies game. Hope the Huskies beat the Horns like a drum. 😂

FSU & Georgia both got robbed by the “Selection Committe”. 🤪

It’s all about Advertising Dollars and which Teams will draw the biggest television viewership for ESPN.
The BCS “system” of picking the Top 4 has been a joke now for YEARS.

True Freshman QB played last night. There were a lot of drops . He will not be playing on the New Years bowl, he has some work to be done. 2nd String QB will play that one .

Louisville was held to 200 yards of offense. Look at their stats.

FSU will be putting a bunch of players in the NFL this year. 2 in the first round and they have stocked roster of young guys. Number 3 recruiting class to reload .

Have you ever beaten FSU dumbazz ? Not in my lifetime . We have 3 national titles that were not accomplished in the early 1900's where players used leather helmets. A michigan fan would not know what football is. It's not your fault.

You must be pretty young for an oldelkhunter.

Younger than most believe. I also don't whine about my health and tell people what I eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner every day. Or complain about prostate issues. Jeez

NCAA will go away on its own , they screw every conference and are about as useful as the UN is.

Actually it started when ESPN went woke and complained about all the teams with Indian symbols. A lot of team folded, the seminole tribe of Florida told ESPN to pound salt. There is always an agenda.

2 northern teams, 2 southern teams

Let’s see who's legit

I love it

Best team out of the 4 playing will be TX. They go to Tuscaloosa and beat them by 2 scores means they are dead meat at a neutral site.

Okay, but unless you started posting here as a teenager Michigan has beaten FSU in your lifetime. Maybe you did, but it would be pretty unlikely.

Yes oldelk 3 titles congrats...let me count Bamas up....18. 6 by Saban. There's levels to this football thing. Fsu is a good school nothing against it but the Acc is not the Sec. Don't hate on us because we passed an undefeated you with one loss for us hate on us because we're better than you numbers never lie. Arrogant? Entitled? Spoiled? Yes absolutely but to quote the great Dizzy Dean "It ain't bragging if you can back it up." 18 rings vs 3 oh? Keith Jackson was a fine man.

I wonder if the fact Texas kicked Alabama all through the game last year until the 4th quarter before the Zebras stepped in and helped Alabama to the point, after two game changing bad calls, the announcers wondered out loud what was going on?

Forget about 2 Alabama TD's called back on penalties? Calls go both ways. And; Bama led 16-10 to start the 4th before Texas pulled away. Good to actually watch games. Texas was a deserving winner and better team; at that time.

Comes down to 13 people making the picks. And they even admit that it's not based on performance, it's based on the ability to draw viewers.

6 Big ten vs. SEC bowl games this year. I love it.
Posted By: Cruiser1 Re: College Football on Fire - 12/04/23
Are people upset because FSU got left out.... or Bama got in?
If Georgia had won; and they used same logic FSU would still be out.
Posted By: RicG Re: College Football on Fire - 12/04/23
Fook the Semenholes!
As I said before, past precedent says FSU should have been selected, even though they are not a top 4, probably not even a top 7 team.

Based on merit & performance over the year & strength of schedule, leaving GA out & putting TX in defies logic IMO.

But the committee is obviously taking some other unknown (to us) logic into consideration.

Yep, and they didn't want a repeat of last year's NC game. Most turned that game off at halftime or before.
I think there's only one team good enough to beat Georgia. We did. ROLL TIDE
