Can anyone comment on the quality of Starline brass in 6mm ARC? I'm asking here 'cause we don't have a reloading forum. TIA.

There is a whole reloading section on this site with several forums

How can you miss the reloading section below?

No comment on 6 ARC, don't have one, but my sons and I have used a wide variety of starline brass and it's all been good to go quality.

I use it for 357 and 41 mag, no problems. I like it.

SL is good brass. Not the quality of the names that make the high end stuff like, Lapua, Alpha, or ADG. But those guys don't yet offer 6mm Arc brass anyway.

'Da hell is a 6mm ARC?

As far as the sixes go, .243 is the beginning and the end of it.

,...although I'll give a slight nod to the 6X45,....just because you can form them out of 5.56 surplus brass.

I prefer the 240 weatherby.

Oh, and I’ve used SL brass in several cartridges, good stuff.

Between the thousands of 10mm , 44mag, 357 and 7-08 Star Line I've been very happy .

Probably the latest greatest marketing strategy from hornyday

Another Hornady cartridge designed to run in the AR-15 Platform

It will launch a 100gr bullet at about 2700fps at 52K psi.

Cant answer for 6mm PRC but I have used it in 308 with no issues
Posted By: M16 Re: Starline brass? - 01/21/24
It’s good brass. But if you couldn’t find the reloading forum maybe it’s best you buy factory ammo.

Maybe you could answer for the 6mm ARC, as that is what the OP is asking.

Seems the fishing is pretty good around here.

If we only had a fishing forum………………

anything involving guns & bringing up Hornyday is the wrong answer

shooting at living animals with anything made by Hornyday is an absolute disgrace to the hunting community, you should be ashamed of yourself if you are guilty

Maybe you could quit being a butt hurt punk. I notice you didn't provide him an answer either nor did you direct this moronic comment towards any other that posted about using it for different calibers. Just because you can go through life being a dumbass doesn't mean you should. You are the kind of guy I'd slap the hell out of just to watch your head snap back.

I really like starline brass in general. I've used their pistol stuff for years and over the last few years I've used their rifle brass as well. It's a step below alpha and lupua maybe but better than win, fed, or rem and much better than Hornady.

I've used their 350 L, 30-06, 7-08, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6 Creedmoor, 6.5 grendel and a few others. I got some of their arc brass but haven't shot it at the range much yet. It's all been consistent and seems to be the right hardness to work well.

I've had some 358 win brass on backorder for about 3 years with starline and haven't been able to get 327 fed either. You never no when they'll have a run of a specific headstamp.
