They specialize in titanium brakes.

After about 500 rounds down the barrel of my 7-.338RUM the groups opened up hugely. I assumed the barrel was shot out and then noticed the brake was missing one "fin" and one "fin" was bent out. I sent it to them so they would know this sort of thing happened, not expecting a replacement. Low and behold a new one arrived with the info that they have sold about 10,000 of these and it was the second one to have this happen.

In the information age- good customer service goes a long way.

What bullet do you use in the wildcat?

I use a hammer hunter tipped 132 grain at 3650 fps. I use 87 grains of WW2 h4831 and a Winchester large rifle magnum primer. The group went from three shots under half minute at 300 yards to about 9 in in one day.

Recoil pads don't help nearly as much as a brake. or is it Break? LOL.

Years ago there was a company early on in brakes. they had some kind of spring loaded soft recoil pads too. A cousin just did not like recoil. I had used one on his 270 it was amazing. Combo pad and brake. Like a 223/243 instead of 270

Next one we put on a 7stw. First shot was ok. Second was at 600 yards and never hit the target. I could not understand. Then I realized the brake was gone. Company admitted they screwed up and no heat treat etc... sent a new one right away.

Stuff happens. As long as companies make it good its ok with me.

Freakin' brakes are obnoxious. I'll spend a little on some other recoil reduction system or something along those lines before I'll ever put a brake on a rifle, or at least that's the direction I'd take if I felt like I needed a rifle that was that punishing.

I am old and small. There is no way I am adding weight to a rifle that already weighs 8 lbs when I can and did add a couple ounces with a titanium brake. I hold the rifle like I would a BB gun and can see bullet impacts at close range without holding on to the rifle hard.

There are modern electronic hearing devices one can use to mitigate loud noises and enhance quiet sounds.
