No money in growing hay with all the water
Been hot here for February. Got ticks on the dog most days last week walking in the mountains, and washed and waxed the 4runner today at 60F.
Crazy this week. Soon to be in the teens again, and snow.
Been snowing every day for about 5 days!

Not often, but every so often it does.

"Hey! Looks like we forgot to leave the porch light on!"
We’re above average for the water year, and that’s all that matters. It could fall in little triangles, for all I care, as long as it melts into water!
We've had ~ a foot of snow already - hard to tell for sure, because it turned into a blizzard, per usual.
Though that was a month ago, we've still got some drifts.
Forecasting 5 1/2" today, I hope we get at least that - although without the wind that's supposed to hit tomorrow.
We'll take whatever comes, though - gladly.
Same here, I have about two feet on the ground now. More coming. This was last week before the last two dumped.

January was fairly wet here. 7 or so inches. We had a little cold snap with several nights in the teens but no snow.
Snow???? What is this thing called snow??????????
I’m surprised you don’t have more than that TN. I’m just getting ready to plow snow for the fourth time since this storm pattern and more is coming. It’s only been about 3-4” each time though. Last year we had 4’ just from that big storm.
[Linked Image from assets.atdw-online.com.au]Damn. That looks worse than Tillman County, Oklahoma. And THAT’S sayin’ somethin’…!
22 below a week ago. 38 above yesterday. 45 or so forecasted in a few days.

I'd rather be at our rec cabin 60 miles south, in the Caribou Hills, rather than some tourist trap island off Cancun, starting Monday, but that's a wife for you....

Fortunately it's only for a few days. I have trail to ride! In the mornings, I guess, before the snow softens.

Damn - life is hard!
What we got last night fell on about a 1/2" of ice.....

South face will help getting rid of it

Of all things..while pushing snow...heard Sandhill Cranes & Meadowlarks

These guys are 4-5 weeks early

Ha. We'd take a foot of half inch hail and the freaking cold.

We have ice too, in the freezer.
A few inches forecast for the next day or so... on top of the 9'+ we have already shoveled. We have huge, trucked-in, snow mountains all around town.

Grass...that is what it looks like after rain.

Added. Now you know why I like to see the pictures of mountains and snow.

Great pic !

Looks like a cold/dry spell coming up now

You a bee keeper ?
Send some our way. I’m guiding hare hunters today. We have enough snow for snowshoes but it’s hard pack granular or crust over granular. If you’ve ever run hounds you know that’s not optimum. Hard on dog’s feet and poor for scent. Been that way for a couple weeks.
Yep. A backyarder. The hive on the right is empty. Had to make room in the garage. Eventually there will be a shop right there.
