I've been buying the Harvester EVO suppressor for around $550, it's 10.8 oz, 6.23" long. Not full-auto rated but that's fine for a hunting rifle. However, it has since been discontinued and I'm looking for something similar in the same $/weight/length range. Recommendations appreciated, thanks!

THUNDERBEAST has been a Cadillac of suppressors. You pay for it. Customer service has been great.

Have been happy with ours.

Cost is an issue but the issue isn't what many think. You have to pay a stamp regardless. You have to wait regardless. Its a lifetime investment so to speak.

A couple hundred dollars one way or another is not an issue to us at all.

Thunderbeast was the gold standard back in the day....now? Meh.

I would suggest if sound suppression is of utmost importance get the ultra 9. Shooting a 7 vs a 9 side by side the difference is very noticeable.

Honestly the silencerco harvester evo did as good or better than the ultra 7 to my ear.

I would suggest looking at CGS and AB's offerings. I can say the Huxwrx flow through cans eliminate almost all of blow back in AR's, but they aren't that quite...still better than no suppressor though.

The Harvester EVO was hard to beat for the money.

And just a reminder, there are a lot of suppressor weights being thrown around out there that do not specify if any mount is attached for that weight. Digging a little deeper often reveals that you need to add about 2oz for a mount to keep comparisons apples to apples.

The Otter Creek Polonium 30 and the YHM Resonator 2 are two competitors in that same market space of the Evo. Roughly $600-ish, steel construction, and around 13-15oz with a 2oz DT mount installed. Similar sizes and caliber ratings.

I just got a lead on an EVO in stock, at wholesale, bought it, will ship to my local FFL.

Who knows? I don't seen anything similar at that price point, maybe they have something in mind. Aero Precision has one that looks good but I prefer the EVO. Just found one on a tip from a forum member, bought it at wholesale pricing on sale.

Most of the new cans these days have the rear HUB threads so you can run whatever attachment you like (I like direct threads). Some of the suppressor makers are advertising can weights with nothing attached to the open rear HUB, while others are advertising with a direct thread adapter installed. When ounces are major selling point, not specifying in your advertising can be deceptive. For instance, the Evo is advertised at something right around 11oz, but this is with no rear attachment device. Shooters on YouTube and various forums report that it is generally more like 13-13.5oz with a standard steel direct thread insert installed. Still fairly light for a steel can.

I like my Thunderbeast BA. takes specific muzzle brake thread adapters for different applications. I like that but it does add up around 100 each. Lots of flexibility though. It even quietens the 223 ARs pretty decent with the diameter difference
