Anyone seen any good deals on these lately? Just got finished loading 500 and need to replenish my stock.
Thanks
Carl
Thought I saw a thread about Midway selling something like "dog town" bullets. Check the classifieds here.
Midsouthshooterssupply has various bulk 224 bullets.
Midway has a sale on 77 grain, tipped, match bullets that might be Sierra TMKs.

The reviews are AWFUL but it might be disinformation from a buyer who is stocking up and does not want others to jump in ahead of him. I have 100 coming and can let you know how bad they look and the color of their plastic tips.
Midway has 10 different factory seconds for 22 caliber.

55 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail, 64 Grain Bonded Solid Base, 40 Grain Polymer Tip Flat Base, etc.

Friend of mine bought a couple hundred from Midway years back trying to save a buck. He called me complaining about they wouldn't group. An inspection revealed all of them had a slight bend to them. Told him to quit being a cheepaskate and buy good bullets.
Shooters Pro Shop has a couple types in stock. SHOOTERSPROSHOP
cabelas has a great sale going on right now on hornady bullets, free shipping over 50 bucks also
I bought a K of 224, 55gr soft point seconds from midway several moths ago.

This is what I got. Still working on cleaning them up.

I've got a lot of them like that from the Sierra outlet... just use your thumb to pop the nib and ring off the bullet... easy peazy.

I wonder if wet tumbling with SS pins would clean those tips up without damaging the rest of the tip too much?

That’s what I’m doing, but it takes a bit of time.
First thing I thought was "Nipples!"

I know. I know. Get help.
Wow 😂🤣
Go to shooters pro shop , midway is iffy at best.
Came across these "Scratch and Dent" guys online a while ago. Don't know anything about them but they seem to concentrate on Hornady bullets:

Wholesale Hunter has Speer 55 gr. for sale @ $12 / 100. Not a seconds , but close.
Be aware that responses like this are not uncommon here on The Fire.

Yeah, a couple years ago I purchase a couple hundred that looked exactly like that when they were delivered in January. Darnedest thing, they looked perfectly normal when I loaded them up in July.

That still has me scratching my head....
SPS and Rocky Mountain are probably the best source for seconds.

My experience as well. Not a big deal and they shot well.

I received 800 22 cal seconds from Midway last week in three varieties, all 70 gr or better. But I have not inspected the contents of the boxes yet.
You can still get new 55gr-60gr hornady sp's for about $0.11 a pop. How much cheaper are the seconds?

55gr in the 250 packs seem to be the cheapest right now

Looks like I cleaned out Midsouth https://www.midsouthshooterssupply....point-boat-tail-with-cannelure-250-count

Graf's is $0.13 https://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/72315

Have not ordered from these guys. Reviews were a bit wishy washy for me. https://www.armorally.com/shop/hornady-22-cal-60gr-sp-bulk-oem/
Nosler 2nds.......

53 gr Varmegeddon
I bought 4 boxes of 7mm 150 grain bullets factory seconds from midway. All under sized. Returned.
Cabelas has factory first nosler varmageddon .224 55grain bullets for 22.99, shooters pro shop has seconds for 26.95. Plus cabelas has free shipping over 50 bucks. Hornady vmax bullets are 19 bucks for 100.
Speer 50gr TNT bullets in the 1000 pack, sku 4705 can be had for $120 per 1000 and shoot extremely well. Great gopher bullets. They put on quite the aerial circus act when hit. Jackets are a bit fragile so don’t shoot them out of your 8 twist 22-250. I use them extensively in my 8-9 twist 223s though some suggest even that’s on the ragged edge of them coming apart. They’re obviously not a 1000 yard bullet though.

No forgiveness for Steve Hornady.

I’m glad that I bought a bunch about 10 years ago. A great deal then……today it would be considered theft!

Except for a few powders…..the vast majority of my stuff was purchased years ago. Sometimes, being a “wacko” survivalist prepper has it’s benifits! 😉 memtb

Shot or door.

Someone leaked his memo and it went viral.

He then went on a psycho witch hunt, trying to find and destroy whoever dared to oppose his will.
