A quick scan through some of Powder Valley's posted reviews indicate light strikes, potentially a firmer cup than others...

Someone else said that, too, on another thread on this topic.
I hate hard primers. Over the summer, my local gun store started carrying some locally loaded cowboy loads of .38 Special for cheap (bulk packaged in plastic bags), and I bought a bunch of them. I started thinking there was something wrong with the two revolvers I was shooting them in. I figured the hammer springs on them must have weakened. Then I ran out of them and started using regular ammo again, and the problem disappeared. I would not be surprised if the small local outfit that loaded up those cowboy loads used these primers.
