Sorry for your loss. Sad news.
Sorry you lost a pet, Don.
'Bout like losing a horse! Or a good dog!
Best wishes.
Bummer Don.
Godspeed Swoop Dog
Are you gonna get some more?
That is one heck of a set of horns….
He looks like he had a good long life with you! Few cattle get that chance. Thanks for sharing!
Looks like he'd been a gentle giant in his day.
Sorry for your loss.
Hate to see that. He was sure fighting to get back up. Quite a stud in his day.
Dam RIP Snoop! Are you down to the one longhorn now ? Plans to get anymore?
Down to four. Butch and Sundance (the Wild Bunch) named because they are so gentle/halter-broke that anyone can feed/pet them for pics, and a pair of 4 year-olds that are kinda wild/hooky and no one is allowed to get close to.
I am sorry. You have had a bit of a rough stretch lately. He was a spectacular animal.
Had a good run, I’m sure.
He was a handsome beast!
I'm sure he was a great pal.
Huntsman22: Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.
Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear, Don. RIP, Swoop Dog.
Damn Don, hate to hear this.
That’s sad, but you gave home a life that extremely few cattle experience.
RIP Swoop! Don, you have a cool job buddy!
Ron
Sorry Huntsman, but you made me feel a little better.
Neighbor came over last month, his 'almost family member' favorite mule died in his barn and he wanted me to come over with the backhoe and bury the poor mule. Without further thought I asked him if he had cut up the mule yet? Well the poor guy just blew up. I tried to explain that a fully intact mule is just not practical...even a 680 Case with a big bucket...too much mule, not enough bucket...and with the legs stiff and poking out, it takes a huge hole in our rocky boulder strewn ground to get the one piece mule covered up.
He glared at me and said, 'what the hell's the matter with you?' jumped in his pickup and drove off.
That ax in the loader bucket made me feel a little better.
Family dying sucks ass.
I'm so sorry.
Tough to lose an old friend.
It's also a reminder we are all on borrowed time.
Sad to see any animal we care for go...
I lost a bull a couple years ago that broke my heart.
Swoop sported a great pair of "Clown Stickers" as I've heard them called.
Sorry for your loss. We do get attached to them critters.

Sorry for your loss Don. It's a sad day when one of your pets finally give it up.
Yes you can get attached…..sorry to see, but the European will help keep his memory alive! memtb
Thanks for the story, Don - good that you wrote about Swoop. Sorry your buddy left - but it must have been a very good run with you.
Sorry for your loss. He was probably a good listener.
Bummer to hear Don. Sounds like he had a good run
Nothing says I miss my buddy quite like riding around with his head in a front end loader bucket!
Looks like he got his head down hill.
I remember him from our visit a few years back. A fine animal.
Sorry to hear this, I am still missing your pack pony. TR
Jim, he was on level ground on the creek bottom
Nothing says I miss my buddy quite like riding around with his head in a front end loader bucket!
How else do you get the skull to hang and do that animal justice? Gonna be a fine set of horns to remember him by.
How old was that steer Don?
Sorry you lost your Pal Hunts.
Good Boy Swoop Doggy, good boy.
Good looking animal, sorry for your loss.
Jim, he was on level ground on the creek bottom
Gotcha.
Sorry for your loss of your steer. 21 years is a good long run.
Nothing lasts forever in this realm, you have his impressive horns to remember him by. All good.
Hauled the bonehead to the beetle dude today.....
