A good buddy of mine, retired Command Sgt Maj Airborne Ranger who continues to serve with a veterans organization is fighting a stroke in TX. Had heart failure and a clot that broke free causing the stroke. Not out of the woods yet, but supposed to move out of ICU later today. If you're the praying type, lift up David in your prayers please.

Prayers from here also. I’ve had 2 strokes, the first at age 56 and caused short term memory loss, fatigue and weakness on the left side. I could no longer work as a school administrator with this condition and had to medically retire. Difficult and a financial hardship for my family. The second one caused my eyes to cross. Difficult, could not read or watch TV. Luckily a pastor friend loaned me his entire collection of Louie Lamour on audio to help me pass the time. The problem self corrected itself in about 6 months
Strokes run in my side of the family and my Dad died of one at age 63. They can be life threatening and life altering.
