My wife has always really liked spiced apple rings in a jar. I have been trying to find some for a long time without success. Does anyone come across them anymore?

Haven't seen them for years.

People used to put them on a ham occasionally.

I used to love those as a kid.

It doesn’t appear they are commercially available anymore but they look super easy to make.

Might have to pick up some Granny Smiths and give it a go.

I’ve not seen them or pickled peaches in ages. Used to be a holiday staple along with mincemeat pie. Can’t find it.

Wife's stepmom used to make red and green spiced "apple rings" from -- believe it or not -- cucumbers every year for a Christmas treat. Hard to believe I know but if no one told me I never would have known that they weren't made from apples but cumbers...

..... Delicious !!!

Growing up, my mom would make a breakfast casserole with those along with sausage. I can find them between thanksgiving and Christmas so it seems they are seasonal, at least around here.

I really miss Welch's Whole Grape Preserves.

And Sunshine Raisin Bar cookies.

The apple rings I can make myself, minus the food coloring.
