56 years ago, when I was about 6 weeks old, I had an operation for pyloric stenosis. They only used super glue. No stitches according to my mother. So it's been a thing for a long time.

Good looking pup BTW. We call it the "cone of shame" around here because it's usually a result of something the dog did to itself. smile
Can’t lick, but doing OK. MTG
The Cone of Shame.

Caption: How’s the reception now, Dad?
If only a dog could say “GFY”. 😁

Used super glue lots on minor wounds in the Military. If you get a tube of SG from hardware store for 98 cents, then get a tube of pharmaceutical SG for 10 dollars, and read the ingredients, they are same word for word.
I keep 2-3 tubes in each of me packs for the field travels, hunt, fishing, etc….
Poor little baby, she's going to be so excited when it. comes off. !

With the way people are acting in this day, age we should be making people wear these and come up with something better for our dogs who put out love and loyalty, unconditionally.

I haven’t tried it but I heard it hurts like a beotch when putting it on an open wound.

Wouldn’t matter if it does the job, but I’d want to have a stick to bite on.

Please get her one of the inflatable collars. She'll thank you, and your furniture and doorways will as well. Hope she heals well.

Pool noodles cut and installed on two oversized collars is something that is either in the meme thread or someone sent me. Looked like it would work great. My Chocolate hasn’t needed anything like that so no first hand experience
Holy smokes! Could the vet have used a bigger cone? Nice looking doggo.
Stitches out Friday the 5th

He’s thinking, “Payback’s a bytch!” 😊
I saw someone who cut a pool noodle in half and put two side by side pool noodle collars on...

Not sure if that would work for a rear leg since give the size of the cone that is probably what the cutter worked on.

I can confirm that it stings in an open wound. I use it a lot for cracked fingertips.
