and cars, houses. The decision on where to live changes quite a bit if you don't have kids. Don't need a back yard for the kids, and who cares about the school district?

Japanese birthrate / population has been shrinking for decades. Not just diapers impacted. Toyota has been strategizing around shrinking Japanese auto market since early 2000's...

They filled up and they know it. Last time they had ideas of global expansion they got slapped pretty hard for it.
