I have been gifted quite a few Challenge coins over the years...

This one came from a very dear friend I have know about 6-7 months now (...and been able to help him with a few things)...

Got a few. My top coins are from the commandant of the Marine Corps and sec of defense. Got them in my safe. My daughter will get them one day

I have about 35 of them gathered from more than 25 years on active duty. All of the ones I have were given to me. They mean nothing is you buy them for yourself. Probably the most significant ones I have are from a couple of SEAL Team Commanders.

My most cherished is from Gen Leroy Sisco, the founder of Military Warriors Support Foundation

The left coin was given to me by my best friend.

It was the second boat he was on.

The right coin was given to me by my mentor in the fire service.

They mean an awful lot to me.

All mine are in a shoebox somewhere probably right next to all my awards. I have Secretary of defense or maybe it was secretary of the Army, SGM of the Army, bunch of others don’t mean much of anything to me anymore.

Any of my absolute vulgar ones like “AMMO Road” a track going into a female vagina which was a coin for the AirForce 2WO/461 community, I gave away so my grandkids would never see them. The rest are put away in mason jars on a shelf.

Theses days I don’t play the challenge game anymore mainly because I don’t trust 90% of these fuggin stolen valor bastards.

Have a couple and am yet to score a drink.

I got no problem with them as long as federal tax dollars are not spent on them.

I’ve got a handful.
Mostly from battalion Commanders when I got promoted, some for unit deployments, etc. nothing too terribly special.

They’re kind of neat but just one more thing to collect dust or one more box in storage.

I have my French Fourragere hanging on a pic of myself and one of our radio operators on my first tour. That means way more to me than the coins.

As a civilian I was not that impressed with them. We mainly got them because they (The Brass) were to cheap to pass out the cash awards you should have gotten for saving them a load of money on a project, or for going well above and beyond getting a project done on time.

I got this one a couple of weeks ago in conjunction with a case I'm working.
