As you may have heard, the Bush Administration said each of us would get a rebate check to stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan.

And none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

I'm depositing our "stimulus check" (a.k.a. bribe), and immediately writing a check for the same amount to send into the bloodsuckers (a.k.a. IRS) as an estimated tax payment for 2008 taxes.

Ours will be banked until July-August, and then spent on locally grown hay. Hay harvested with $5 per gallon diesel is gonna be a killer this year.

Mine will be spent on pre-school for my 3yr old. I consider it an investment; she already owes me $41,387.64 for prior expenses.

Mine is going towards a wall tent, most likely from davis tent.

Mine's going to hunting club dues, right here in Alabama.

What is it if it is not welfare? The tax burden is still present, anyone who thinks the government is giving away money because it is generous is kidding themselves....it just means others now have to pay that burden. And it sounds like you get to pay for it next year...as Isaac said....you're welcome.

Which is exactly my point, that it gets turned back around as an estimated tax payment for next year.
